Yep, it ran very well. Hope to see much more of this!

Oh, and I've uploaded another mission: Douai, March 1918.

I found the Jasta's in the area at March 12th, 1918 but I don;t know which RFC squadron were facing them. Anyone? I think 3 sqn was there at least.

Vonmart, im willing to wager you have more system ram than me. But, if you already havent, try lowering landscape detail to medium.

If youve already done that, and still get error let us know.

ok! i play ROF in Maximum. (I have a computer for that). i will try it tomorrow. i did that in TOW .becouse after every 4 missons it gives the memory error, then i leave and reenter the game in that server after 2 missions and like that i could use ROF in maximum.

Your mission is the best to play with realism (not arcade…like others)

Good Job :P

Hi all!

I would like to announce that we at SYN have a new 24/7 full realism dogfight server up and running. We are a squad composed of players from all over the world. (You should hear all the sexy accents in vent!) The server is based out of Chicago, US and is connected directly to the Internap fiber optic network which has an amazing 100mbps upload and download internet connection. The machine uses dual zeon Intel cpu's and 4 gig's of ram. (Should make for a silky smooth server with easily 60+ players at a time)

We love tactical play and realism. The only non-realism setting turned on is "engine warmed up."
We plan on having a combination of both large and small maps to cater to both tactical players and those that like the quick action of smaller map with a huge Furball! We are a squad that enjoys to have a good time and are truly good friends with each other.

We would love any suggestions, ideas, and especially to those map makers out there, we'd love to host your map!

Please join us on our forums at http://www.thesyndicate.tk">http://www.thesyndicate.tk and feel free to hop on our public ventrilo chat server at syndicate.vent.nfoservers.com:11310 (Be warned we drink whiskey and cuss strange perversions at each other constantly. Not to mention we are all insane :D )

For those of you that do not have ventrilo voice chat you can download it here: http://www.ventrilo.com">http://www.ventrilo.com

A special thanks goes out to HS_Vander(Vanderstok) for kindly allowing us to use his collection of user-created maps for our server! (From all of SYN - Thank you!)

Hope to see you all in the skies!

Salute!

Thanks blue. Just quietly, it's actually called Syndicate TDM is it ? Too easy  I will make it a priority to actually hit that multi-player button and investigate what lurks behind :o … after some more curves fiddling WooHoo :P

I will possibly have many questions ;)

Thank you for the fights tonight.

A couple things…

I never saw a friendly recon to escort, but there were a few enemy recons that would fly solo into our territory, with predictable results. I would escort friendly recons if I knew where to rendezvous with them.

On one map I felt forced into a Dr1 because a couple players made it a point to fly their F1s straight to our airfields and cut circles on the deck until they were killed, rinse and repeat, etc.

But overall I had a good time. :)

I just flew 3 straight hours, absolutely loved it. Full immersion and objectives that give the feeling of being there! The action was both high and low great stuff. I am new to this sim and being in Australia i had no connection issues. Thanks once again. ~S~ :)

Good server! Had a lot of fun with a squadmate here tonight. The full real settings, adding navigation to the mix, takes it above and beyond just dogfighting. I hope it maintains its popularity!

I got a couple of rof.exe crashes too. It's a matter of pride to not want to decrease settings, especially when I'd played for 2-3 hours before the first crash on full settings at 130fps or so. Will try the medium texture fix in future sessions should the crashes come again.

Very nice server. Very smooth connection. I enjoyed it quite a lot, except when I played there were only about 6 people online, so it was a little hard to find people. With ten or more people it would be truly awesome!

Im keen to jump into this one. I'd like to know at what time there is likely to be a lot of people.

Can one of the developers give a general idea of the most populated times. London time, or Berlin time , NYT , Moscow time … Any of those is good. I'm in New Zealand so will have to wait for my days off and fly in the morning probably.

No issues for me. Smooth, and stable pings. We had 20 Pilots on at one point.
My only qualm is the difficulty in navigation. A couple of water holes
in the middle, or perhaps another hill in the center would give a nice reference point.
Also, not all the cities were on the map, that would help as well.

The trains had an odd problem. When you shoot them, they blow up, disappear, then reappear right away, over and over. Not sure why that happened.
I did like that there was a train running from the front to the ammo depot…and another train sitting at a station near the fuel depot. The only thing missing was a few trucks on the road.

Do they have marching troops in the editor?

Great work!

I was only able to fly a short time yesterday and dropped some bombs. But its such a difference to fly without icons combined with a realistic mission. I feel you did a great job to set up this server, which is definitely on top of the list now.

Thanks for your positive comments, folks!….We hope to make this a "community" server to some extent, where mission makers can show off their missions and people get to influence how modes and settings are introduced.

We welcome everyones point of view in order to make what is already a fantastic simulation as enjoyable as possible.

Thanks to Vander for taking the plunge with his first missions!

Please understand that this is "day 1" of this enterprise and there will definitley be bugs etc (we only got the stats workin after 2 hours!!!)

This is a dedicated box in USA but with the 100mb upload and downlaod I ping from UK at 70ms!!…hitrates and smoothness will be 100%.

The server will, I imagine, be fullest between 7pm and 12pm UK time but with guys from all over the world able to fly there I dont see why it cant have a decent population at any time!…it IS 24/7

If you have a mission to upload or a comment to make then plz feel free over at

http://www.thesyndicate.tk">www.thesyndicate.tk

Enjoy!!

P.S. we accept applications for recruits aswell :P

Information about this dedicated server is coming in thick and fast, sounds very good from neoqb forum member's accounts :)

A supplementary and current thread about SYN's server here-

Syndicate TDM server Featuring Historical Mission
http://riseofflight....t=9839&start=20">viewtopic.php?f=49&t=9839&start=20

Current information on active servers needs to be more prominent, I'll work out later how to add a spot where we can see at a glance what's hot: and the SYN server sounds to be sizzling :)

Thanks bliss and SYN members, and Vanderstok of course!

I can recommend this server to anyone who prefers SP career mode type missions. All the elements are there. It is very different to CTF and much less frantic so brush up on your map-reading skills and keep yor eyes open. This is war!

Ha!
I was just lining up a bomb run on an airfield when an EA spawned right in front of me (I think it was Readyman). The urge to drop a stick of bombs on him was almost irresistable but I could see that he was still eating his breakfast (bacon and eggs I think!). I circled away in an act of unbridled chivalry and the blighter took off and shot me down.

This server owns. I had a great time there last night. Love the full realism settings and no icons. Love the fast USA connection. Love the dogfight missions that are setup like cooperative ones. Freaking awesome.

Is there a teamspeak server associated with this group?

A hearty Salute! to the Syndicate Server and to Vanderstok, i was hoping in the latest week to see his missions online :) Of course now they are up, my new-to-be computer motherboard decided to play games with me so i have to wait some days till i build the new system to join this server. (BTW i hope to play RoF much better than before - new important system components will be: Phenom X6 1090T BE and an ATI 5870)
