Godswarrior's Personal Albatros D3
Posted 01 April 2010 - 00:14
This is my personal Albatros D. 3. It is a washed blue and yellow scheme with 4 color lozenge camouflage. It also contains my personally designed emblem, a "W" on the upper wing, and hopefully it gets voted in!

1. Sorry if the clarified guidelines weren't clear enough on this point, but the naming convention of adding the "z " only applies to the skin name string inside your .txt file, not to the actual names of the files themselves. Thus, you have the skin name string itself correct in your .txt file, as "z Godswarrior's Aircraft " (although you can delete that last space before the closing quote), but you've also added it to your file names, and this needs to be corrected. For example, your .dds file name is now "Z-AD3-GWar.dds", and it should just be "AD3_GWar.dds" (note also that the dash you have now after the AD3 should be an underscore, as I've shown here). Please fix all 3 of your file names accordingly (they should all be the same, except for the .dds, .jpg and .txt extensions, of course). You'll also need to fix the file name in each of the file location strings in the 5 localization sections inside your .txt file.
2. Your preview picture (in your .jpg file) seems a bit oddly stretched, and in any event isn't quite zoomed in enough - you should probably re-shoot it from closer in so it takes up more of the picture, per Lefty's posted instructions here: http://riseofflight....hp?f=154&t=8092">viewtopic.php?f=154&t=8092 (see the sample preview picture at the very bottom of Lefty's post).
Otherwise - looking good!

A suggestion: please use a summer landscape as background, because winter textures are almost black& white, and it's harder to tell if the skin looks right in-game or not.

A bug or what?

I've already voted yes, but still have the submit vote button…
A bug or what?
That's just an indication that the thread author selected the option to let voters change their vote when they set up the poll. It's very useful if you're making improvements to your skin to try to meet posters' objections (especially on historical skins, but not limited to them) so those who might have voted "no" to an earlier version can change to "yes" if you fix the problem.

My opinion is those, that personal skin it is necessary to deserve high results. Similarly to the present experts of times of war.
With hope for understanding
