The List of Requirements for Approved Aircraft Paint Schemes

ATTENTION! READ THIS FIRST!

Skin should fit Rise of Flight colour ballance, that means, that with next ingame settings:

- HDR and Bloom is on;
- game gamma is set to 50%;
- 12:00 of day time.

AIRPLANE, OR ANY OF ITS DETAILS (LOGOS, MARKINGS, STRIPES ETC.) SHOULD NOT SHINE LIKE A NORTH STAR!


COLOUR BRIGHTNESS BY RGB SHOULD NOT BE OVER 90-110 BY EVERY CHANNEL!

Good example to check about overal white airplane - is an Fokker D.VIIF of Herman Goering [FD7F_JG-1Goering5125.dds] from RoF Community Historical Skinspack Vol.2.

SKIN PREVIEW FILE SHOULD BE DONE ON MAX ZOOM (NARROW FOV) WITH AIRPLANE TAKEN FROM STARBOARD SIDE IN 300X100 PIXELS!!!

AIRPLANE SKIN SHOULD CONTAIN SPECULAR LEVEL AS IT IS IN THE TEMPLATE.

DO NOT DELETE LOWER SURFACES SHADOWS - AS THIS WILL MAKE AIRPLANE WING/UNDERSIDE TO SHINE!

IF ANY OF THESE REQUIREMENTS ARE WRONG - SKIN WILL BE REJECTED UNTILL FIXED AND WILL BE MOVED TO THE NEXT SCHEDULED SKIN PACK VOLUME.

1. File of paint scheme should comply with all technical specifications, listed in Custom Skin Сreation User Manual for aircraft coloring in Rise Of Flight.

2. File of paint scheme should be named according the following template:
<brief aircraft name>_<brief skin name>.dds

Brief aircraft paint scheme name should consist of only Latin characters, no more than 17 characters (excluding the 3-letter file extension, e.g., .dds, .jpg and .txt):
AD3_Jasta_1_default.dds (example)

NOTE!: dont use empty spaces in skins names - if you need to put any - use "_" symbol.

3. File of paint scheme should be provided with the file of skin description. Description file should be named:
<aircraft_paint_scheme_file_name>.txt

AD3_Jasta_1_default.txt (example)

File of paint scheme description should contain (on separate strings) and should be placed as it placed in template file:

ATTENTION!

The following is a very important, mandatory requirement.
Our community is an international one, and as such, 777 Studios strives to respect and support a total of 5 languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Russian). Therefore, all in-game description text for every skin must be translated into all 5 languages. Please ask for help from your fellow community members if you cannot translate the text yourself.
Very Important: If your skin lacks this mandatory requirement, your entry will be ineligible for voting and any vote being held will be halted until translations for all 5 languages are present.

ATTENTION! skin file description should be of the strick format - see it in the post attachment and use it as basic template to make it.
DO NOT ADD ANY ADDITIONAL SPACE SYMBOLS OR NEWLINE / SEPARATIONS!
IN CASE IF FORMAT IS DIFFERENT - SKIN WILL BE REJECTED UNTILL IT WILL FIT TEMP FILE FORMAT!

4. Image preview of paint scheme

Resolution 300х100 pixels.
Preview requirements:

- Based on in-game screenshot - starboard side of airplane!!!

- Minimum camera angle (maximum zoom) - THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! - as if youll be making this shot on wide angle - it will be of corrupted ratio sizes!

- Maximum graphical settings, including : antialiasing and anisotropic filtering

- Displaying the aircraft in corresponding paint scheme

- The aircraft should occupy not less than 70% of the image in linear relation at list in one dimension

- Not less than 70% of aircraft's projection should be visible in linear relation in all dimensions

- The image should be in color, without use of any filters

- Should not contain any other dynamic objects other than the aircraft

- The aircraft should be displayed airborne above the summer landscape , with cumulus clouds at daytime

- Both sky and ground should be visible

- The perspective of the image should not differ more than for 15% from the provided example
