Just a question, is there any way to keep the gunner after he's been killed from despawning in the back seat of an aircraft?

Salute gents!

How about checking "Invulnerability against weapons" in the simplification settings of your single play mission.

Yep, I see your problem there;

From the flying angle, no dead body to lug around makes a weight difference.
To the point some may just off their gunman with their sidearm in order to complete a mission, imagine )))

Gaming the game ...

Why not just take your gunner's seat and provide the damage yourself?

For the 166th mission which Gooseh was refering to, the aircraft takes substantial damage from flak, (I think a hole in the side of the fuselage and some other stuff) which would be impossible to do with the machine guns of the gunner, in the mission which I am currently working on, I am doing what you said and providing the damage to the airplane.
