Scarf ring mod. By Knalp.

Added weapon control in menu.

Ring L/R = A/D      (  Left/Right  )

Ring U/D  = W/S    ( Up/down )

Swivel L/R= Mouse left/right

Swivel U/D = Mouse fwd/back  back/fwd ( or invert with checkbox  )

Adjust the ring with left right up down and point the MG with your mouse.

You can adjust ring while pointing the MG at the same time.

Ring movement speed is based on real testing under fire.

( men were wounded while on the job collecting this data )

Swivel is balanced, light and very tasty,  there is no stupid inertia wobble.

Yes it makes aiming better.

Where's the link?

Hello!

I am sorry to inform you that there is no link.

The mod only exists as a specification.

Unless some brave soul who knows how to write

code for the game steps in and creates it for real.

I created this thread to highlight the short comings and

general all round bad design of the gunners "turret".

The developers made an arcade style POC and we

are now stuck with it. Moreover they probably actually

copied the same POC over to Flying Circus.

Doing something bad the first time is stupid

copying the same bad thing when had the chance

to make it much better is plainly mean and small minded.

I could go on. ( sick in bed with cold )

The devs could fix the mechanism but they won't, will never

and don't care.
