Terrible gunnery.

I am faffing about with the Mission Editor.

Setting up competing forces on the ground and letting them go berserk.

Kind of fun to watch except for this one thing that will shock you....

The gunner can't seem to elevate their guns to fire OVER objects.

They fire through them... which is not that clever.

Is there some way to get them to fire indirectly?

There is some good stuff to muck about with. : - )

Quad 13 Pounder AAA ?

and some of the pill boxes actually have firing guns.

Something makes me think there was more to the story than just WW1 air combat....

well going by how the game seems set up,  they DO have a good section of the manual devoted to bombing, and photo recon.  So I have a feeling that they had meant to have a tie in ww1 infantry game.

look at how IL-2 is handling world war two. They have tied the flight games in very well with the ground campaigns to the point that im surprised if you crash land your german fighter bomber, the cut screen doesn't show your game character getting issued galoshes, a rifle, and put on a train marked "Stalingrad express travel"

No, I was just lining them up and letting fly.

The most I did was set their "side" and then blew the whistle. Off they went. boom boom bang ratatatatat... etc.
