#5 License key not activated

I didnt play Rise of Fly for a long time. Now, when Im trying to login online it says #5 License key not activated. Then I loged into my Rise of Flight account and it shows that all my licence keys are activated .What is wrong?

What shall I do?

Help please

First thing to try is to do an update (and recovery) from the game's launcher.

 

Good luck!

 

(That's assuming that you don't use the Steam version - if you do, I'm not sure how the update/recovery function works (if at all) with the Steam version.)

Yes, I use Steam. but in my Steam Library all RoF dlc are present. When I click play Im redirected to RoF screen which says   # licence key not activated.

I have the very same problem, but I am not using the steam version. When I click update, it closes the launcher. Any ideas?

Have you put your password and email in the startup.cfg file? If you have, then try downloading the Microsoft Visual Studio Redistributable packages for 2005 and 2008.

I just bought all the DLC during the Steam Autumn sale, activated all the keys on the ROF site. All looks good on the site. But when I launch the game from Steam I get the # 5 license key not activated error.

I decided to download the game client from the ROF site, separate from the Steam version. When I try to login through it I get #4 wrong email or password.

Please help. I literally have bought every 777 1C game, including Tank Crew. I want to play ROF as I am using a laptop for the next couple of months as I await upgrading my PC.

First of all, have you put your email and password in the startup.cfg file? If you have, then make sure you have the microsoft C++ visual studio redistributable packages for 2005 and 2008, if you have all those, try going to riseofflight/bin_game/release and then click on the rof_updater.exe click the update button there and wait for the update and then you should be good, if you still aren't just post here and either I or someone else will continue to try and help you figure it out!

I tried the startup.cfg file suggestion, didn't work

I do have both those microsoft C++ visual studio redistributable packages for 2005 and 2008 installed.

I just went to the Steam version (the one I bought the DLC's for)  riseofflight/bin_game/release location and do not see an updater.exe. There is however a setting.exe, I clicked that and then I have to option to update or start. I clicked update, and the box just disappears.

I tried the non Steam version this time. There is and updater.exe in the  riseofflight/bin_game/release location . It downloaded and installed the update. Tried to start and I got the #5 lecense key not activated. So neither version is working for me. I bought the DLC from Steam, so should I only use that version ?

I'm sorry to hear that it isn't working out well for you...I don't use steam so maybe someone who does will be able to help you. My apologies I can't be of more assistance.

And the worst part is I can't even get a refund for the DLC on Steam. Even though I bought them 2 days ago and haven't played a minute.

Usually reply ? Well that is not encouraging.

It happens occasionally that they accidentally over look one, but it doesn't happen very much, sometimes it takes a bit for them to reply as they aren't as focused on RoF anymore.

I've found that the majority of people who receive this error and the #4 wrong email and password could have avoided those errors by putting their email and password into the startup.cfg if you'd like to share what you think, I'd be entirely welcome to hear your opinion.

that's a bit weird...I haven't heard of that happening to anyone having that happen to anyone...does it affect your playing at all? or does it just say that?

you need to go into Rise of Flight/bin_game/release and find the .exe called rof_updater.exe, run that and you should be good
