I have been having problems with my Logitech 3D pro joystick.

When I am on a server and I try to take off, even if my rudder is full to the right, or in nuetral, my plane always circles to the left. This happens when I try to flying too. Has anyone had any problems like this before? Any help is welcome.

Hello Falcon!

Can you check your rudder is working properly in the response menu?

And can you see if your rudder is working in game when looking at your tail?

You can check your stick is ok with Diview.

www.leobodnar.com/files/DIView.zip

And you can look at you calibration in windows.

also this:

When the logitech 3D pro starts up ( gets power from usb ) it does it's own internal calibration.

So you must NOT move the stick while you PC boots up. Make sure it's all sitting straight etc

before you start your PC.  Only applicable to the stick do not worry about the throttle.

No idea why it would be different  between missions...

Hope this helps!

Ok, thank you!

The other thing that I was wondering was when you move the stick to the left of right, when banking, it seems to get stuck like that, so the plane stays in a bank while the the stick is in the middle. And then when I want to fly straight and level I have to push it to the other side. Is this with every joystick?

Wow!  Cool!

You need to read a whole bunch of cool stuff!

If you throw a frisbee on it's side it will travel in a straight line but canted over.

Your plane will do the same bearing in mind a few things. Thrust drag lift Dihedral etc.

When you roll to the left you are merely rolling the plane using the deflection of

air over the control surfaces. When you return the stick to center you are not doing this anymore.

Therefore the plane will try to continue with this attitude. ( things will effect it though...)

To return the plane to your original attitude you need to deflect air the other way so it

pushes the plane back, rolling to the right.

It is not like a car steering wheel .

We create thrust left and the plane rolls left. We stop creating that thrust and the plane is stuck that way.

Air is just very thin liquid.... hydrodynamics.... etc.

If you were in space the vehicle would continue rolling. To stop it rolling you need to make opposite and equal thrust.

To get it to roll back to where it was you would have to very carefully muck about with your thrusters.

Dunno if this is any help but there are loads of cool stuff on this in your local Library! ( woooo actual books! )

Or you could just read the internet!
