How do I install and use skins? Sorry if there's another thread about this, I haven't found one other than threads about just downloading them.

They're self extracting I think, just click and point it to your RoF directory..

The files you download from here are .exe files so you just execute them and they self-install.  Individual skin files you find in the forum are usually compacted into .zip or .rar format so after download you'll have to extract the files using something like WinZip or freeware 7-Zip.  Then those have to be manually installed unless you use a Mod Installer like JSGME or OVGME to install them.  On my computer they are installed in D:\Program Files (x86)\1C-777\Rise of Flight\data\graphics\skins\AlbatrosD3.  Or, wherever you installed the Sim.  I recommend using a Mod installer so you can remove them if you don't like them.  After a while you get so many skins it takes forever to go through them to pick one out to use.  Oh, the skin format is .dds, so if you get an older download you may have to convert a image format to .dds.

Additionally, can they be seen in multiplayer?

Since most MP servers run with "mods off", it's likely that only skins from the official/approved skin packs would be visible in multiplayer.  And other players will only see them (even the official/approved skins) if they also have them installed on their PC.
