Question regarding reactivation of an age-old account

Hi!

I bought RoF shortly after release and occasionally dabbled in it but couldn't really get into it (the fact that my PC could barely run it at the time didn't help). Yesterday I reinstalled it after years of absence to finally get some solid flight hours logged, only to find out that I remember pretty much nothing of my old account. Basically all I got is the registration key, can't even remember the email address I used back then. Now I know this isn't much to go on and I have no clue if my account even still exists after years of inactivity. Did anyone of you face a similar problem and can tell me if maybe the support could at least tell me which email address I used back in the day or if my account is a write-off?

Thanks for any kind of help!

Welcome back to RoF and the Forums!

 

Did you buy a lot of content/planes on that old account?  If not, then I wouldn't bother trying to remember/reactivate the old account - just D/L the latest copy of the game from the RoF website and start over again.  The game comes with 3 free planes to fly, and with the fairly frequent sales it would be easy and cheap to replace whatever content/planes you used to have unless you'd really bought a ton of stuff before.

 

You could try to ask support about it, but if you can't remember which e-mail address you used I'm not sure how they would figure out who you were and authenticate what your old account was - but I guess it wouldn't hurt to submit a ticket and see what happens ( https://riseofflight...upport/request/ )

Yes, I bought quite a few planes, pretty much all of the "heavy hitters" if I remember correctly. I'll try my luck with support. Can't blame them if they can't help me but maybe they can trace my registration key to my old email address, then I could probably brute force my way through my old password list.
