Hi all

Next Sunday the war will be over, one hundred year ago the great war came to an end.

May be the opportunity to celebrate a special mission, just a sugerence.

For sure we keep on flying for long time, but all in all, it will be specific day to have a different event.

Perhaps a formation flying, or aerobatic o a complex mission.

It would be really cool if somehow a coordinated mass flypast was arranged with all or most of the online squadrons.

A great mark of respect to all those brave servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice. :icon_e_salute:

It would be nice to fly in the same system on all airplanes that we have in the game - both German and Entente. The pilots of the bombers will have to do something with their rear machine gunners - these guys do not understand the conventions and continue the war even in the ranks ;-)

Ground fire off - have the Central Forces come over and 'surrender' their planes?

Only joking ;) but we should have RoF's biggest formation yet!, with all nations represented!! All Squadrons in attendance, hopefully!

Haven't considered a fly past but we are planning something for next Sunday, something to mark the end of the war.

I'll let Cuban announce it, as usual  :)

To all those who have made these memorable events during the centenary accessible to so many of us, we gratefully thank you and hope you'll continue beyond the Armistice. Salute to the ALL the people who've helped such a worthy endeavor.

Sincere Thanks!

Salute gentlemen!

For this 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day and the end of The Great War, we will run a special mission.

The map area is yet to be announced, but it will feature one of the historical maps with a rotating plane set.

In order to pay tribute and honor the various periods of the war, we will begin with an early 1916 plane set, then move forward through time, rotating and advancing the plane set every 30-45 min. We will move to late 1916, then on to early 1917, late 1917, early 1918, and finally late 1918 aircraft.

Objectives will not affect plane sets or number of airframes available.

We invite and encourage all to come out and commemorate this special anniversary, 100 years to the day of this historical date.  Let us never forget the brave, nameless faces that fought and struggled through this period of history and shaped much of the world around us today.

At the end of the map there will be an  "End of Hostilities"  message and all are welcome to form up for a massive commemorative formation flight.

Further details will be posted as available.

Do you need to be in a squadron?

I've only started playing 2 months ago and I'm not in a squadron so I'd like to know if you can join on your own.

Can't wait to be there if so.

Hi Flying Monkey, all are welcome on Vintage Missions. Squad and single players alike.

If you want to join the Fly Past, just keep and eye on the chat. It will be organised from there

BTW. Are you Flying Monkey on SimHq too?

Mission will start at regular Sunday Vintage Mission time, 1800GMT

Things usually start to wind down about 2130-2200GMT so big formation flight around that time.
