Error #10033 at login

Dear all,

 

yesterday I installed and updated ROF at my desktop computer. After that I logged in with my account and offline mode worked without any problems.

 

I read that ROF does not save anything to registry in Windows, so I moved ROF folder to my USB flash drive and then to another PC.

 

When I start game I get error #10033 about problem with my offline profile and I am unable to login on PC without internet connection.

 

Do you have any advice please?

Welcome to RoF and the Forums!  Sorry you're having problems.

 

Not sure what might have gone wrong during the transfer process, but here's what I would suggest as likely to fix it:

 

1.  Make sure you have an internet connection.

2.  Run the game's launcher (Rise of Flight\bin_game\release\Settings.exe)

3.  From the launcher, do an "update" and then a "recovery" - be sure to say yes to let it install all the MS/third party stuff it wants to install (other than the adobe reader - you can skip that one if you already have one on your PC)

4.  Log in "online" at least once (you don't necessarily have to fly any missions - just get into the menus and stuff, then you can quit back out)

5.  Then try logging back in "offline" and see if that has solved the problem.

 

Good luck - if that doesn't work post back and maybe someone else will be able to give you some more help.

Dear Panthercules,

 

I tried your step by step instructions and problem persists.  :(

 

I also downloaded game from Steam, but problem with offline mode still occurs on another computers.  :angry:

 

Maybe I have to copy some another data from for example Windows AppData folder? Any advice?  :huh:

Not sure - never seen this error and couldn't find any reference to it in old posts.

 

Maybe try resetting the profile?  See screenshot below:

Maybe there is saved computer name or MAC address in local account file in ACCData folder as protection for offline mode?  :huh:

What about devs? Can you look at this problem?  :huh:

What happens if you don't try to "activate" it on one PC and then move it to another, and instead just start from scratch installing/activating on the PC you ultimately want it to be on?  Does it give you error messages then?

Yes, problem persists and I also write to game support directly, but answer is that I have to login online on every computer before I can use offline mode.

Guess that makes sense - when you do any first-time installation you always have to log in online at least once so the master server can tell your local client what content you're authorized to access, so I guess the same thing applies whenever you move the game to another PC.  I pretty much always log in online routinely so I just never encountered this issue when I've moved the game around before.
