I'm away from my RoF PC so can't check it, but have you tried using the "Filter by Plane Type" feature?  It should show you a color/highlighted bar along the top of the timeline showing when that particular plane was in service, and if you then move your timeline marker into that time frame, you should see colored dots next to the airfields/unit markers on the map to show where the plane was being used at that time.

So I got that whole system down and I understand how it works but usually at least on the Western front career it will move the different air bases around due to the changes of history at that time ect.

I also do own the plane and map.

I'm not sure why but on the channel map it only gives me one German airbase that you can only equip the Fokker Eindecker, which I own and enjoy but I wanna do career with the Brandi. No matter what filters I put on it shows me when that aircraft was active but it doesn't give me an airbase to select and launch from....

On your channel map set up on your computer does it only give you ONE Inland German base to choose from from the start of the war to the end of the war?

There has to be an option I missing

I'll try to remember to check this out nexttime I'm back at my RoF PC, but it may be a few days yet.  If you're only being given choice of flying Eindekkers it sounds like maybe you aren't moving your timeline marker forward in time enough, but even at the beginning of the career period I would think there would be more than one German airfield available on the map.  Maybe you're too zoomed in on the map and not seeing some of the other airfields?

Hi MT

I'm kinda new around here, and am learning as I go along...

I've been using careers lately, and am able to get a W-12 career going ok...

I filter by plane (the W12 background will turn red), and you will notice a row of green bars (indicating time in service for the W12). Drag the rectangular slider so it is covering the left side of the green strip, then click on the date (top row) that you want your career to start on.

Your map should repopulate with the according airbases to chose from.

Sounds to me like you might not be giving the generator a start date...

Just a newb's .02, take it for what it's worth...

Cheers!

Yes, I believe that's the issue.  I D/L'ed a copy of RoF onto the laptop I'm using ATM and started a career to check this out, and indeed the game gives you at least a couple of choices for this plane if you properly set your career start date within the in-service period for the plane, as noted on the screenshot below:

The key is to not only drag the month/year marker to the right place, but also be sure to click on a day slot in the top row, too.

Hey MT

I see that you got a career going, we are ranked 31001 (Jans) and 31002 (Herman) respectively in the global stats. Its a long way to the top of that hill...

Hope to see you in the air sometime!
