I am going to build a Co-op mission that mimics 21 April 1918. My goal is to record the flights and create a video depicting the battle. I would like to have some loose historical accuracy, ie. MvR chases May low to the ground with Brown following.

My goal is to have the mission ready and hosted on a server on 7 April 2018 at 1800 UTC and let it run through a couple of times until people are bored. It would be wonderful if we could have all players meet on TS and discuss quickly a general plan to make it look authentic with authentic tactics and historical timeline.

If you are interested, please let me know and follow this thread for updates.

Update 3/2/2018

****

I have the mission coming along!  You will need to download the following skin packs for full immersion from here: https://riseofflight...official-links/

Official Skin Pack (latest version, 1.033, 3.21 GB)

Historical Volume 1 (10 JUN 2010; 510 MB)

Historical Volume 9 (16 NOV 2011; 812 MB)

Cool I seem to remember you did a similar one years ago.

I gave up the project then because the plane set wasn't up to the task at that point. :( I think it is pretty much ready with RE8s, camels, dr1s, and alb d5s.

I'd like to be there, but it is a bit early for me. Please consider me a possible replacement for a vacancy... ;)

Too early for me as well. How could a Jasta 2 not honor one of its best Aces of the squadron?

What time works? I'm flexible, especially if we get a better turn out.

For me personally it's better 16:30 to 19:30. But just pick whichever suits more people. The rest adapt.

What time works? I'm flexible, especially if we get a better turn out.

Typically, FiF (and often other events) are usually held around 18:00 to 20:00 Zulu (GMT)  on the weekends (which is primetime in Europe and lunchtime to early afternoon North American time).  Of course, bear in mind that no time is *ideal*, as that one is usually the "wee hours" (next day) for Aus and NZ, but it does seem to be the compromise that works best, given the relative pilot numbers and demographics  (sorry Oceanic!). If it's held during a week day, that usually bones the N.A pilots (as it's in the middle of the work / school day), and if it's much later, it's into Europe late night, so it's really a case of "pick your poison".

Regards,

:icon_e_salute:

PS> I'd be happy to be involved in this event if there's any way I can help, or if you need an extra pilot or two...   :)

Thank you guys for the input! I will update the main post to reflect the "normal" time 1800-2000 gmt.

I think we would need to have about 25 pilots to up all of the planes.

I updated the original post.

I am also looking for red nosed 209 Squadron Camel schemes...as well as a blue tailed Fokker Dr1 scheme like this one http://www.internetm.../dr1_j11_03.jpg

Can anyone please help us out for this flight?

Can you join us??

I just came back from vacation and my schedule is generally pretty tight (I would really enjoy if a day had 30 hours  :icon_e_biggrin:). I'm afraid I'm not gonna be able to join. But I'll be looking forward to a video!

Ok, I lost momentum here, but I am back at it.  I tried to get the AI to participate, but they just don't cooperate enough to make it feel right.  SO my plan is to publish the mission tomorrow and see who is still interested.  It would be fun to make a video of it if we had something realistic at the end of the day.
