As an avid music listener I enjoy hearing about others' tastes and getting the chance to check out some bands I might not have heard before. Personally I like a bit of everything but I particularly enjoy punk / post-punk stuff (such as Siouxie and the Banshees, Gang of Four, The Clash, etc etc.)

So, what musical tastes do you have?

Anyone who has seen my videos probably knows I like Jazz (and western).

Music was recorded off of a 1926 Victrola Granada :icon_e_salute:

The list for me is too long but includes classic rock/pop 50's, 60's, 70's with 80's and 90's, progressive rock (Rush, Max Webster Yes etc) Jazz fusion like Allan Holdsworth, Weather Report etc. Psychedelic stuff from 66-67(8) and 2000's like Tame Impala. I like some weird orchestral stuff and sountrack kind of stuff too. In the 90's, I had a favourite band which I hadn't had since Rush/Zeppelin.... that was King's X.

Here's some King's X live:

Ah, 2CELLOS! I'm pretty sure those guys have killed more Cello bows than any other Cellist combined, hah! Led Zep is always a good shout, I was raised on physical graffiti  ;)

and 2000's like Tame Impala.

Awesome! Wouldn't have pegged you as a Tame Impala fan!

In that line, The Cult. The Stranglers.

You'd like my TrackIr hat then!  :P

Recently I found these guys, and they've just been blowing me away, this is one of their more tame songs but they've got some incredible tunes if you don't mind slightly heavier stuff:

I keep coming back to French duo 'Air'.

Also love Beethoven's String quartet n°14 op.131. I listen to every recording i can of that. Longtime fave is Budapest String Quartet from 1951 https://youtu.be/z968kfR-E5k

But here i share one of Air's influences and a big one of mine, Je t'aime... moi non plus - Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. That organ line, that attitude...

I also massively like Strahan, specifically

@Zooropa_Fly I think Sid is turning in his grave, I think he's turning in his grave, I really think so ;)
But I can't talk, I nearly included Plastic Bertrand.

Realise it's hard to keep a list like this under 10,000 or so, but no Undertones, Skids or Teenage Fanclub?

Oh heck The Skids, how could I forget just about the only decent Scottish band ever !

btw - "The Browns" is a band that a fellow virtual pilot used to be in down in Oz.

Album called  "I Thought They'd Never Leave" (1997) - check it on 'Soundcloud' or 'Bandcamp' - it's brilliant !

I have an eclectic taste. In my teens loved Northern Soul/ Rare Groove.
But also listened to Led Zepplin, Hendrix, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd etc.
Was present at the start of the UK Rave culture in the late 80's and got lost for about 10 years in a psychedelic blur ;)

These days I listen mostly to "rock". Saw Royal Blood at Ally Pally in Nov, really like them at moment. But probably my favourite if I had to name a band from last 10 years ....has to be Radiohead.

I love music, all kind of style on my mobile phone, I only do not love Jazz as a music style and Skyradio stars like Michael duble, Sam smith and Ed sheeridan crap.

Just discovered this one a few days ago. After Stellar Kart disbanded, looks like their frontman joined Audio Adrenaline. Anyway, really been liking this one! (Had it it on endless repeat while flying with Hunter, Baer, and Wulfe last night lol.)

I'm reading Hooky's book "Atmosphere" about the Warsaw / Joy Division days at the moment, I'd highly recommend it!

I agree with Adam, early Elvis is raw and edgy. When he came out of the military and did all those cheesy films he blew it.
He had a slight reprieve in '68, but stayed in Vegas and blew it again.

Ended up a middle aged fat dude doing crazy Karate moves dressed in a ridiculous jump suit.
