If no news about ROF why drag us there? I'm more an il2 player now but more interested in what they (if) have to offer about ROF.

The pessimist in me says they're retiring the RoF master server?
The Optimist says they are going to stop WWII content and come back to WWI and RoF 2 :)

1. Release date for BoK

2. Fleshing out Pacific Theatre plans, with est target for Midway ( pre release about April '18)

3. Discussion on other fight sim products and their preferred plans for them. But no guarantees.. Dependent on 2 above. (CloD, RoF.)

That would seem the most likely content for tomorrow.
Will be interesting to hear if they have any plans for RoF.

Same here. Maybe they're going to integrate WWI planes into the BoX system, with a new landscape to fly them in and WWI era campaign? Definitely hope there's something RoF related!

If so then hopefully ONLY landscape and campaign.

Perfect flight model of ROF should stay as it is as well as ROF doesn't need network problems that BOX has.

Pesimist: They want us to check out new shiny WW2 products coming in 2018.
Optimist: RoF gets some love, from overdue fixes to porting WW1 content to BoX engine.

In May, the Developer Diary mentions the Pacific as the future area of work. I expect nothing different. And certainly nothing for ROF.

Ami, that was my thought also, doesn't make any sence to post something here, on Facebook in the ROF section to announce something for BOS if it wouldn't be ROF related but then again, we have been dissapointed before....

But i'm keeping an eye on this, maybe they pleasantly surprise us :icon_e_wink:

In May, the Developer Diary mentions the Pacific as the future area of work. I expect nothing different. And certainly nothing for ROF.

Their modus operandi so far was to finish product in December, catch some breath, and announce new plans in springs. This does not look business as usual.

But, my 777-Sovietology predictions are usually very inaccurate :D

I'm not sure, it might just be cross-pollinating the forums... I hope I'm wrong.

My thoughts exactly. They know ROF players are potentially interested in every other development they do. Seems natural to me.

That would be very ill-advised; RoF is still a source of income and aside from the labour of maintenance, running several master servers should cost no more than running one.

To all our ROF customers and fans - this is not the end of ROF development or new content. Please do not panic. We are still working on the details and we will inform you once we have them. Right now all current releases we promised are on schedule.

On a personal note - the ROF community and your support has made this day possible. We have always wanted to make a WWII product and your support of our WWI product has afforded us this opportunity. Now you will be able to enjoy both WWI and WWII products produced by our team and new expanded team. If all goes to plan there will be much to be happy about in the coming months and years. We hope you will stick by us and continue to support our flight-sim endeavors.

Onward and upward!

Can't believe this was 5 years ago! Where has the time gone? Hopefully RoF will now get some of the love it deserves, I'm certainly loving what they've done with the IL-2 series.

Yep, just advertising - probably that we can pre-purchase Midway

Just to stir the pot.....

My buddy the flyer formally known as US103_Hall is calling it as two planes (SPAD13 and DVIIf) being ported to the BoX engine possibly with a map as well.

We shall see....
