PWCG 3.3.2 Released

I'm using 3.2 currently as 3.2.1 won't start either from .exe or in game.

To everyone having issues: Have you tried what Panthercules has suggested here?
 
Take the interface.gfx file that is in the data folder, and copy and paste it to the data\swf folder. Worked for me.

I've found out that in PWCG 3.2.1 Villages have no Damage Textures in the Front Line. No destroyed Buildings. Looks very odd. Also, I see no Battlesmoke when I fly over the Lines. I've always looked out for a "Front-Line Mod", which shows heavy Battles, Trenches  and destroyed Places, not only in No-Mans-Land.

I'm a bit heads down but I'm paying attention.  3.2.1 had nothing for RoF users.  I am pretty surprised it caused issues - it was one line of code to fix a BoS issue that should have, if anything. helped RoF too.

 

Anyhow, I am going to be working on some changes,  Mostly BoS but some will help RoF too.  After that, or along with that, I will look at bugs.

Hey Pat, I’ve gone back to 2.1.2 as well. I tried, I think all, the 3point#.#s and had issues. I’m flying No. 1 Squadron April ‘16 and found that skins weren’t loading for the N11s and also flights were taking the field behind or in hangars

I've had issues with the latest version also.

I'm using 3.1 as it stil launches for me.

3.2.1 will not even start at all, in game or just using the exe. I am using 3.2 as it will start through ROF, generate missions and return and take AARs.

Thx for all your work and care. I am a very silent but regular visitor on this board and I really appreciate everything you do, believe me.

My Error log is attached. Same problem as for some others, it just won't start. V3.2 still works fine except that I can't get the music to play.

PWCG 3.3.0

Set roles by squadron instead of plane for greater flexibility.  Allow roles for a squadron to change over time.
Bug fixes:
Verified proper functioning of PWCG on startup and from UI modification.
Verified mission load and execution in several campaigns
Reduced and normalized waypoint speeds to help formations
Improved climb wps.  Climb into mission if far from front.
Rewrote target finding algorithm for fewer failures.
Fixed AAA not appearing along front and at installations
Fixed campaign property bug that caused all defaults to be copied over.
Fixed AI does not land when waypoint progression is broken
Fixed (?) AI sometimes crashes on landing
Improved egress waypoint placement
Improved odds of contact during mission

Unfortunately yes.  That is on the to do list but I have not had the bandwidth to really look into it.

Not exactly sure what you mean by Zombie aces but I had Dallas in my flight. #1 RFC Sept ‘16. He was shot down in flames by the DFW we were after. He’s dead, Jim

was he dead in the report and realy no more in your squad?

In my flight i had the problem that some of my aces got shot down and were declared dead in the AAR but after that they were still alive and in my squad again. Some aces died 3 times and came always back.....zombie aces.

For me its an important thing so i switched back to version 2.1.2 (i think).

After a little help from Pat now all aces can die anytime but also all can survive the war.....everething open.

I realy like that but i think its not realy important to the most others.

Yes, he was dead and gone. Flew one more mission then uploaded 3.3. In 3.3, again flying with RFC 1 Squadron, Sept ‘16 the N11s were in generic French colors. I tried to fly 2 missions. Both ended in DTD’s.

Tracked the bug to an advanced campaign config setting
 
Setting Bombing minimum and Bombing Additional to a number over 6 will cause PWCG to hang when you press the mission button. Keep it at 6 or under and the mission will generate.
 
For example Bombers Minimum=3 and Bombing additional=3 will work, as will Bombers Minimum=2 and Bombers Additional=4.
But if you push it over 6 PWCG will crash.  EG> Bombing Minimum=4 and Bombing Additional=4 or Bombing Minimum=6 and Bombing Additional=3 (your setting Jean)
 
Reduce Bombing Minimum to 3 in the advanced setting for your pilot and the mission will work.

now i wanted to try version 3.3.0

Everething set up but when i hit the create a mission button PWCG freezes and i cant do anything anymore. No error report just stops working.

Cleaned up weather inputs in advanced config
Bugs:
Fixed Attack marker showing up over friendly forces
Fixed No landing if player chooses air start
Fixed Freeze if number of aircraft config changes (max planes per flight will now be 8)
Fixed failure to create campaign in some situations

Quick hot fix to correct problem pointed out by dburne on the BoX forum.

Bugs:
Fixed error when modifying advanced configuration
 
If you are not having issues with advanced config saves no need to hurry to get this one.  It only impacts users who have edited advanced config parameters that I have since removed.

i think its a silly question but can you tell me for what the fighter AI adjustment is? What difference from -4 to +4? What exactly change this options?

Hi again,

 

sorry now i know what AI ajustment means... odds of meeteíng novice or veteran fighters. I have it on +4 but the first enemy squad were stil only flyers without trying to fight. Dont know why but my fighters allways attack and fight how it should be. The enemy planes fight maybe in 1 of 5 times and at the 4 times i only need to fly after them and can shoot down one after another....

 

Zombie aces are still in. Again i tried with jasta 11 and Allmenroder got shot down and was killed (killed in report). After that he was still in the rooster and ready to go.

 

Again sorry for my bad english

I apologize for being so dense, but I am having trouble finding the step by step instructions on how to download and install PWCG.  I would very much like to experience it but am not sure how to go about the process.  If someone could let me know which thread it is in or reply with instructions that would be great!  Thanks in advance.

Just installed PWCG 3.3.2 tonight...

 

Even if my Audio folder is in the Data folder of PWCGCampaign, I don't hear sound or music?

Also, after creating my first mission around 1/6/1916, it seem's that I have bug when starting the mission...

I get a message that like: Luascripts  worldobjects  platoonde02.txt   is missing?!!!
and the game froze after that!, and I'm not able to get out of it and need to close my computer.

 

Any help, for the sound and my bug would be more than welcome.

Just a quick heads up - I don't think the download link for PWCG skins 7 is working

Pat, I was flying a career with Jasta 2 near Arras, but most of the aircraft I encountered were from French squadrons based far to the south, around Verdun. Would it be possible to make an update that makes sure that the aircraft you encounter are based reasonably near you?
