I think something might still be wrong.  Last mission that was recorded was on the 25th of May.

Good fun last night, managed to bag 2 confirmed for the Entente and 1 for the Germans...also had a close shave with Cuban's mob, took an engine hit from his DAMN TILTY GUN as I was spiral climbing away and ended up caught in between Cuban, Shot and Redman   ;)

also had a really awesome 3v3 engagement between J2 and SYN!

Yes was excellent mission. I really liked that map how you had to recon the obj then the bomb obj would be unlocked at one of those recon obj. Was a lot of fun

I am afraid Vintage Missions in their current form are no more. The Server was handed back on Monday.

Numbers recently meant it was no longer financially viable to continue renting the box. Cuban and I have spent close to €3000 to maintain the server over the last two and a half years. I for one think its the right time to go. We had a good run and, I hope, gave the community some good nights.

Although I played on it way less times than I would like (I travel a lot and often lose the events), I knew that this moment was coming. Any chance to get mission files in case I try to put a server up to play with friends in the future?

PS: by the way, a very sincere "thank you" for all these months of great fun provided to the community.

Many thanks to you both, you have certainly made a difference for everyone, and VM will be sorely missed. I hope the community finds a sustainable alternative, for Flying Circus at least.

I was happy to fly the very last few. :~)

Big Thank You to Cuban and Steve for the effort you put in and the fun you provided. I came to organised events late in my MP Bullet Magnet virtual life and the enhanced enjoyment experienced from being part of a communicating clique of virpils is beyond compare, if you see what I mean! Thank You and Salute.

Really sad to hear. Flying on the Vintage Missions server was always brilliant fun.

Thanks for all the memorable moments, SteveF & Cuban!

Cuban, I’ve heard that you were badmouthing me, so I’m happy to see this crash and burn with Wargrounds.

Is he really?! Great news indeed.

It would be nice if he would provide a paypal account so some of us might help in whatever way we can.

3000 eur in 2.5 years is around 100 eur per month, a huge amount for someone to bear. But divided by a few dozen people it's just a beer. And I don't even drink beer.

Bidu said, "3000 eur in 2.5 years is around 100 eur per month, a huge amount for someone to bear."

Let's say I can afford it and want my own server in FC1.  How do I go about getting it?  Where do I apply and who do I pay?

EDIT:  On reflection, thanks anyway but never mind; my first impulse was "Hey!  That's something I could do!" but then I remembered ROF and FC1 are already full of sites nobody goes to.

Back to topic; I don't fly VM but I have.   If he gets a Paypal account I'll contribute.  LMK.

You should if you can, its great fun with great people, PLUS it doesn't half improve your skill as a virpilot, my skill is now 50% as opposed to 0%  :icon_e_biggrin:
