A Vintage Mission will run every Sunday from around 18:00 UTC (or thereabouts). Cuban will announce the upcoming mission for the weekend in the run up to Sunday
The server will also be left up for the remainder of the week running various Syndiate missions.

These missions are provided by Syn_Vander and the Syndicate Squadron and much thanks and kudos goes to them to allow us to run them.

So grab your goggles and flying helmet and join us for some realistic WWI flying

Stats can be found here
http://vintage-missions.net

And server status can be viewed on RoF Online

I love these missions, love flying the Sunday event whenever I can make it, and just appreciate so much what you all are doing.

Thank you, Cuban and SteveF! You guys are great.

Kudos has to go to Syn Vander and the Syndicate Squadron for starting these missions in the first place.

Then to Cuban for being the brains behind bringing them back.

I just press buttons and make the tea :)

And if I may humbly add, the community coming back week after week is what made (and still makes?) the Sunday missions great.

Perhaps a return to maxed-out server, N=75+ pilots?

That would be great, even 60 would be really cool.
I believe our server should be able to manage that.

Big thanks to Syn_Vander and crew, to J2_SteveF for the tireless efforts with stats, getting us listed on the web server and of course huge thanks to all pilots who show up to fly!  I'm very pleased with the whole project, and am excited to see it starting to take off again like the old days.  I agree with you both, let's try and pack the server to the max!  Most i've seen so far was about 48 back a few weeks ago on the NFO box, however we maintained 40 for good while this past Sunday.

Does that mean that Plank knows how many times he will die before he enters the server ?

It is great to see these missions back! They are the best for full real servers. Many thanks for the work of putting them back online.

Running Midweek for a while. Some of Chill31's smaller action maps.

They need a little work to get up and running on the latest build but the first is up.

Somme recon shoot 'em down.

First side to shoot down 31 AI recons wins

I'll add the remaining 3 or 4 missions i have over the next week.

Hi guys, when the server mission says "COOP", what does that entail? It is just the type of mission oriented objectives or each one has to play a role? Do they have password or such?

Syndicate is an open public server, never passworded.

The mission we ran titled COOP were not traditional ROF coops. The were mission based dogfight maps, with AI and the option to join the AI flights.

These are smaller missions designed for max 20 people, for when the server is quiet.

Once we moved into the afternoon, the maps were swapped for the more usual 40+ player map rotation

And in this world, bad things happen, generally with no more meaning than the roll of a dice.

I'm very sorry .. I noticed this only on the record, in flight everything was ok.
Unfortunately, the quality of communication I have on these flights is not very good, there are no such problems on FIF.

No worries, Clearly net latency difference.

True ,i have hundreds hours now under Il 2 Sturmovik with good k/d ratio but RoF dogfighting and immersion is much much better than in Il2 IMHO. BTW those yesterday Day in the front Coop missions work very well (logic) for 20 players.

I think they are great maps to practice spotting especially for new players when other servers are quiet.

An interesting move came up with a set of aircraft. Interestingly, although instead of SeVa, I had to fly to Spad7

Thanks all for continuing to support Cuban and myself and our server.

We had another good night last night with pilot numbers over 50 during peak time (@20:00 UTC) and sides were pretty much balanced with around 20-25 a piece.

We have had great support from the community over the last year with an average 40 players on every Sunday and we are very grateful for that.

This continued brilliant support makes it a very easy decision for us keep the server up and running.

A member of J5 going 'round all the Servers poaching pilots will certainly have helped, assuming it happened again this week..

There is nothing wrong with letting people know the Syn mission has started.

I see nothing wrong with that. There are entirely too many servers running concurrently.

How do you arrive at that belief?
