I've just updated my hardware to I5 6600 and GTX 980Ti and am now trying figure out what the optimal settings would be.

What does supersampling do?

Supersampling is the best enhancer you can get it only eats lots of recourses. I'm still trying to figure out if and crossfire setup from my actual HD7970, GTX1070 or a FuryX could run supersampling on the Channel map, (at 2560x1440 resolution).

Yep I’m an 2009 Rof pre-order buyer and one of the few that did buy the Sikorsky game.

If you're talking about the supersampling setting in the post processing part of the RoF launcher, just turn it off.  The devs acknowledged several years ago that it was a somewhat less than successful attempt to improve things.  It doesn't play well with AA settings over 2x , and the consensus of the Community was that it was just not as good as what you can get using your video card drivers or tools like nVidia inspector.  On that 980 (I have the non-TI version) you should be able to get really nice results using nVidia Inspector to set Sparse Grid Supersampling to 2x or even 4x and get rid of the shimmering without taking a significant performance hit.

Thanks for the information and good advice. Seems like I have a lot to learn which is no surprise since it's been about twenty years since I dealt with hardware apart from hitting the on/off button.

@Panthercules   AA settings (I understand is not Anti Aircraft...but antialiasing), will check that out and also try to learn to use nVidia Inspector, thanks again.
