Just take a look at this: http://simhq.com/for...ots#Post4296311

Sorry you have to scroll to all the postings, but it is smashing.

Now I know some did have performance related issues, but it seems some aspects have been optimized by Ankor.

Yep I’m an 2009 Rof pre-order buyer and one of the few that did buy the Sikorsky game.

The new shaders provide a nice performance boost in FPS in addition to better handling shadows.  The new French two seaters are a welcome sight because the lack of French two seaters has been keenly felt by some folks since the first version.   I'm flying the beta and there are some very nice improvements all around including some historically accurate airfield layouts.   It seems the devs have changed their mind and WOFF is going to continue being developed into the future.

I hope someday 777 comes back to RoF at some point too. There's still a lot of untapped potential in it and there isn't much on the market in the way of WWI sim choices.    Battlefield 1 is NOT a WWI flight sim.  It's an arcade shooter with a WWI coat of paint on it.   It's great at what it does, but it was never intended to be a realistic war experience and in that, they succeeded.

Lots of new screenshots posted.  New graphic shaders update in beta, courtesy of AnKor, have improved both quality and performance. Thanks AnKor.
