You did read it right http://www.checksix-forums.com/  for non-french speakers use Google web translator

Dutch the other link works just fine, the problem is like me saying someone made a "dinosaur skin" fore the Albatross and I give this  http://riseofflight.com/forum/.

Then someone would have to search the entire forum, but if link this http://riseofflight....-dinosaur-skin/they can go straight to it.

If I wrote something in this forum that is hurting or abuse a member, organisation or country? Let me know by pm for the corrections, please do not react back by bashing/trolling/flaming or other personal attacks!

Yep I’m an 2009 Rof pre-order buyer and one of the few that did buy the Sikorsky game.

Hi everyone,

I would love to have BE2c in ROF too! I would fly it and it will be a pleasure and challenge to defend from Eindeckers. Also, I've read BE2c was very stable and pleasant to fly. I feel bombing missions could be great.

Look at those nice photos:

http://www.belgian-w...F BE2c home.htm

Very beautiful plane.

As you can see on pictures, 777 could do also a Modification to make Belgian version of BE2c with swapped cockpits and pilot sitting on the front. I would buy it too! Look at this rear turret, it has excellent rear sight and could be deadly against Eindeckers.

A formation of several BE2c against a few Eindeckers would look and feel great online. :) Please make it happen. :)

Hello

I realy hope devs gonna take a look at which planes is missing. In my opinion there is only 3-4 aircrafts missing in a good planeset for 01/1916 to 11/1918 carrer.

-Aviatik C.I

-RAF BE2c

-Voisin III

-Maybe a Caudron G.4

And if those three or four come to RoF one day (i'm not enthousiastic) only one plane could make a good planeset for 1915.

In fact 3 or 4 versions of the same plane.

-Morane-Saulnier Type L (1 or 2 seater)
-Pfalz A.II

-Pfalz E.III

I'm still disappointed the developpment of RoF took a break (or a just stoppped ?) when just few planes are missing for a realy good carrer mod. C'mon 777, please, look back a little.

I came for the sale but there's nothing to buy - I have it all! Build more, we'll buy more. How about a Caudron G.IV or a Hansa-Brandenburg D.1?

Likewise.

777? How about it?

Build more and we will buy more. Please do not abandon us.

I WOULD TOO!!!
I have purchase everything that has been released for ROF, and would gladly support the development of more aircraft!
I would purchase them, even if they just made me a better dressed bullet magnet!

Some Brandenburg flying boats, Macchi M5, or some Aviatik, Phonix, or SAML. I'm just flipping through the "Aircraft of World War 1" book.

I'd gladly buy some of these. :)

Gentlemen, I'm sorry to say that, but I doubt, that 777/1CGS will ever come back to this game. I gave up all my hope.

They are collecting player data via the master server, so I'm pretty sure they have very reliable numbers of active players. With those figures the can calculate a quite exact  return on invest. If there's good money to make, I'm sure they would have come back and add more content to collect this money, but they didn't. Guess why. It seems that they skipped any effort into this game except the maintenance of the master server. Even a pending skin pack doesn't find it's way into the game. And if you have a look at the number of players online on MP servers you'll surely notice that there are less almost every day. The only thing we can expect from 777/1CGS is to milk that cow until it's totally empty or in other words: You will see a Big-Sale every 1-2 month until they sell the game for 5$ on a regular basis and after a while they will skip this as well, because at a certain time the cost of running the master server will be more than the get out of it.

Rise of Flight is dying a long and slow death and it is already in the middle of this process.

So dream on, but to be honest, it ill remain a dream.

I agree with you J99_Hardy. In fact the model for nearly every computer game developer is to abandon titles quickly and move on. That RoF was supported for as long as it was is already an anomaly.

Although not the full picture, Steam statistics give an indication of proportional numbers of players participating.

http://steamcharts.com/app/244050 -- Rise of Flight
http://steamcharts.com/app/307960 -- Battle of Stalingrad
http://steamcharts.com/app/63950 -- Cliffs of Dover
http://steamcharts.com/app/15320 -- IL2:1946
http://steamcharts.com/app/223750 -- DCS

From this, we can see that, apart from some occasional peaks, RoF participation has remained steady since 2014.

1C/777 development will thus 99.9% certain remain the same as that time (i.e. zero).

PS: I'm still dreaming of more seaplanes though.

Now, compare this with War Thunder (http://steamcharts.com/app/236390).... 777/1CGS does good simulation, but the market seems to prefer more casual/arcade style games. You see where the real money is?

Yep, agreed. Historical combat flight simulators (as opposed to historically-inspired arcade games) are a niche. A very deep niche.

As development costs, and player demands, go up... they will be become increasingly rare and the time between releases will become increasingly large.

And now we have the next sale at RoF Store - is it just my gut feeling or do they increase the rate of sale cycles?

Looks like you're right - game is dead.  IL2-BOS, too.  I don't understand, though, how Dovetail games can make enough to stay in business selling railroad engines, cars, and routes, but 777 can't make a profit selling airplanes.

Because Dovetail Games purchased the rights to FSX from Microsoft, supposedly recompiled the code with better (and much needed) optimization, and sold it as FSX:Steam Edition, not only attracting many new purchasers but a lot of long-time devotees who already owned the Microsoft version previously.   The MSFS Flight Simulator franchise was gigantic in it's day and is probably still gigantic compared to Rise Of Flight and BOS.

I wasn't talking about MSFS, I was talking about the train sim.  Coal cars.  Profitable.
