Have you checked the FAQ linked to in this thread?  http://riseofflight....g-related-info/

It should answer most questions you might have about how skins work in RoF.

If you're using the normal/official links to the skin packs, they will be executable files that you just run and they will install the skins to the right place, as long as you tell it where your RoF installation is.  During the installation you will be asked for your destination location - point it to your actual RoF main folder, it may come up with a default location which may or may not be where you have actually put RoF:

RoF%20-%20skin%20pack%20installation%20l

If you used my alternate links and D/L'ed the JSGME-ready packages, just unzip them into your MODs folder in RoF and use JSGME to activate them.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Rise of Flight\data\graphics\Skins\data

No - that would be the wrong place (and in fact there should be no such "data" subfolder in your "Skins" folder - it's an indication that you probably pointed one of the pack installers to the wrong folder ("Skins") at some point and it created that spurious "data" folder and put its skins there (which, since it's the wrong place, explains why you can't see/use the skins in the game) - you should delete that "data" folder inside "Skins" - do NOT delete the "data" folder directly under your "Rise of Flight" folder!).

If you in fact installed RoF into your C:\Program Files (x86) folder (which is probably where the game's installer suggests as the default location to install the game, though many folks choose to put the game somewhere else, such as C:\Games\, because early on there were some problems being reported with how Windows dealt with games located in that Program Files folder), then you should point the skin pack installers to the following folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Rise of Flight

The skin pack installers will then create all the necessary folders and put all the skin files in the right places underneath your Rise of Flight folder, and you should be able to see/use them in the game.

That assumes you are using the self-installing .exe file versions of the skin packs under the links in the Useful Materials post here:  http://riseofflight....ks/#entry628960

If you were using JSGME and D/L'ing the JSGME-ready alternative packs I made available, you would just unzip those packages into your MODS folder and activate them with JSGME (if that isn't making any sense to you, then you're not using JSGME and you should just ignore this last part and use the self-installing methodology and packs/links I described first above).

Hmm - I'm still a little confused about where you installed RoF on your PC.  Did you install RoF via Steam?  I don't know where Steam may put the game, as I've never messed with it.  Do you have a shortcut on your desktop that starts RoF?  If so, when you right click on it and click properties, where does it say that its target is located?
