If I wrote something in this forum that is hurting or abuse a member, organisation or country? Let me know by pm for the corrections, please do not react back by bashing/trolling/flaming or other personal attacks!

Yep I’m an 2009 Rof pre-order buyer and one of the few that did buy the Sikorsky game.

I've been thinking about doing this for some time, and the introduction of the new Rise of Flight Skin Exchange seemed like a good opportunity to put this idea into action.

Set forth below are links to a new set of "Panther Packs" I have created and posted here for anybody that wants them - there is one Panther Pack for each aircraft type, and each pack contains all the historical skins for that aircraft type from the Official Skin Pack and all 12 Volumes of Community Historical Skin packs released so far. These may be good choices for those who don't have all the planes purchased yet and (perhaps because of bandwidth or HDD space limitations) may want to focus on having just the skins for the planes they own, and don't want to download all the skin packs to get them. To reduce file size (since that's kind of the point here), I've had to use 7-zip format, so you will probably need to get the 7-zip program (free download - Google it) in order to decompress these.

The Panther Packs are designed to be used with JSGME (just unzip into your MODS folder), or you can install them manually if for some crazy reason you're not using JSGME. The packs contain both the skin files and the preview pictures, and will work in Mods Off mode since they are the approved skins out of the approved skin packs.

All the Panther Packs for the current aircraft types are now ready (more may be added later as new planes and skin packs are released from time to time):

[EDIT - broken links removed - links in OP have been fixed]

None of thise links work. They r on first page. I get the error file has ben deleted or moved.

Yikes - just tried some and they're broken for me too. I've never had that problem with MediaFire before, especialy odd since I'm paying for a premium account and am nowhere near the limits. I'll contact those clowns and see what they've done - hopefully it will be corrected shortly.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Hmm - hang on - when I try the links from the post above (in this thread), they don't work for me. BUT, when I try the original links from my original post (here: http://riseofflight....in-dl-packages/ ), they do work.

Have you tried them from my thread, or were you trying them from a copy like the post above? (maybe something got corrupted with the copy process?)

(OK - for some reason the links that used to be in the first page of this thread had gotten messed up - the links in the thread noted above are working, and that's where folks should go to get them - I've removed the bad links from the first page of this thread to keep people from getting confused.)

NP - that was a good catch - I hadn't realized that the links in the first page of this thread had become obsolete and been superseded by the ones in that other thread mentioned above. One of the problems with trying to make all these optional/additional things available is just trying to keep up with all the versions and updating and stuff. Not surprised someone got caught in the confusion - sorry it was you, but glad you mentioned it so other folks could be spared the trouble.

Vik does publish a list (or at least, he has in the past) when a new release comes out if there are any skins that got rejected by 777 during the testing/implementation process for that pack release, and there's also generally a "punchlist" thread that I open up after each release, for people to post about errors or skins that got omitted from the previous pack(s) by mistake. (current one is here: http://riseofflight....ixed-volume-18/ - it's also linked to in the sticky thread mentioned below)

And, I've made available a set of combined/composite readme files (one for Historical/Official, and one for Fictional) that can be easily D/L'ed and searched to determine whether a skin is in any of the released skin packs (and if so, which pack it's in). (See the Skin Pack FAQ that is linked to in this sticky thread: http://riseofflight....g-related-info/ ).

Not sure what other sort of remark you might have in mind.

Aha - I think the easiest way would be for you to D/L the composite/combined readme file I made available for the Official/historical skins (see Q&A #5 in this thread: http://riseofflight....ing-skin-packs/ ). When you want to check to see if a particular historical skin is in any of the skin packs, you can just search for the file name (e.g., AD5_J26_JoeBlow.dds) in that readme file - if the search finds it, then you can scroll up and see what Volume skin pack it was in, and if it doesn't find it, then you know that particular file wasn't included in any of the approved packs.

I just watched the movie "Flyboys" and i thought that someone made skins for most of the characters in the movie. I searched and found a good pack but it was unavailable to download.

by searching in the combined readme file I made available at the links mentioned in Q&A #5 of the Skin Pack FAQ here: http://riseofflight....ing-skin-packs/ , it appears that most (probably all) of those Flyboys skins can be found in Fictional Skin Pack Volume 8, which you can D/L from the Useful Materials page.

Hi All,

Does anyone have a copy of this skin?  It's no longer available from the imaging site and I was unable to reach the owner (Busboy) via PM.  Although it's fictional, it's still a great looking skin and I love the nose art!  :icon_e_salute:

Was it one that was submitted and approved for inclusion in one of the Fictional skin packs?  If so, you should be able to find out what pack it is in by searching the composite readme file I created and made available - see Q&A #5  in the FAQ linked to in this thread:

http://riseofflight....g-related-info/

I'm also moving these posts to the Skin Exchange thread specifically designed for this sort of request.

Ok - I found the thread you were talking about:

http://riseofflight....boy#entry333518

A quick search on the composite readme file reveals that this skin can be found in Fictional Skin Pack Volume 9.

In case you don't want to D/L and install the whole Volume 9 pack just to get this one skin, I've uploaded a copy of this skin here:

 http://www.mediafire...F_for_JSGME.zip

It's in a JSGME-ready package that includes the skin file and the preview picture, so you can just unzip it to your MODS folder and activate it using JSGME.
