Great work as always Roby look forward to seeing more of your work. Now we need a proper AlbD3 for the A/H empire.

Unless I'm missing something, it looks like several of these overlap/duplicate several of the ones in another Italian Hanriot pack currently running a poll (see here: Historical - Hanriot Italy Pack ).

Are these different in some fashion, or just duplicates?

Normally we try to avoid such duplication unless there's something specifically different about them (perhaps different interpretation of something on which the historians/reference materials are divided or uncertain). But, technically, it's OK to have more than one copy/version of a given skin, and we already have some such duplicates in the game, so this isn't necessarily a problem - I was just wondering if there were some differences I am missing from just a quick glance at the two threads.

Hey Panther,

The biggest differences I'm seeing are textural in nature; most notably in regards to the metal engine/cockpit surround, canvas/paint wear, and subtle weathering effects. All are very well done and pleasing to my eye. Granted, I've not done any research on this aircraft type, or the individual airframes represented here, so I won't comment on those details, but the overall work -itself- is well-done.

Yes from me.

Dubya - I agree - these are very nice-looking skins indeed. If nothing else, I suppose one could use these as "older" versions of the other ones, which look at first glance like they're a little newer/cleaner than these. I was just wondering if there was anything substantively different about them based on the reference materials or something like that.

The Italian Hanriots were built in Italy by Macchi, "Hanriot-Macchi HD1" and had a different cover engine in brushed aluminum.
At those colored I have removed. The package is already upgrated.

p.s: Why do you say double? .. these skins had been posted since August 9, 2014 in the section: Hanriot is released. Intrepid Flyers DLC goes to Steam.
They were just waiting for the Historical Hanriot Skins section.

Only because I had forgotten about those posts in that other thread - sorry about that. I've asked the devs to create the skin poll subforums a couple of times now, but unfortunately it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully they'll get here soon, so this sort of confusion won't occur again.

But as I said - it's really no big deal having a few duplicates, especially under the circumstances. And these are some fine looking skins, so I'm glad you've gone ahead and posted your submission poll thread - I'll move this and the other(s) over to the right subforums whenever they get created.

I had under my nose the documentation and I did not noticed.
Reference: Osprey Aircraft of the Ace 89 - Italian Aces of World War 1.

I made an other upgrate of Giulio Leaga 76 squadriglia

Same link for download.

Wolderful skins but with several errors!
The silver painted HD1 are not italian build! They are Hanriot build in France! Italian build HD1 were mostly clear doped and later there were some of them camouflaged green or some sort of …. at Squadriglia level. Only toward the end of the war there were some production batch camouflaged in a mottled way.Serial numbers > 20'000.
I see the 76 depicted in red …. well according to my research made about 15 years ago in the italian archives they were mostly probably black like most of the personal insigna.
Please note that for what's concerning personal insigna I have found in the italian archives almost all the personal markings "in colours" of the pilots of VI th gruppo (81°and76° sq.).
See my book "WWI italian air aces and their aircrafts", Schiffer publ. 2002.

I hope to paint several Italian Hd1 Livery in the next Christmas holidays!

Cheers Antonio
