There are already some part of Muromets in ROF ;)

This plus the S16 & S22 in the store page make me ask, have you changed your mind on the arrival of Muromets into ROF?

I'm certainly interested at that price point :D , I mean considering how much some of us paid for the HP400 and Gotha, and you get a new terrain on top of it.

Not to beat a dead horse, and certainly not meaning to detract from this announcement, my only concern is that it may fragment the already small WWI community.
With much sincere hope, maybe IM can somehow be integrated later on.

Looks good but I find it unplayable, do to lack of English. When might we expect a English update?

Navigate to the third tab in the launcher and choose English from the drop-down menu.

If you are having trouble navigating just open your RoF launcher as a reference, they're identical.

The price is a bonus, the addition of another WW1 Flight Sim is a Gem. I look forward to the genre expanding.

Respect your opinions and not meaning to be doom-and-gloom here. This is pure speculation and I could be entirely off base, but the bottom line might be that if Ilya Muromets isn't successful then there will be no porting of it to RoF anyways (and perhaps no further WWI developments). Think about it with business goggles on, not sim pilot's goggles.

Well, with business goggles on, the Muromets sim was created in co-operation with the Russian Military Historical Society. This lends prestige to 777 Studios as well as implying that some backing must have come from the CIS in order to provide the required resources to complete this project in such short order.

I'd say WWI developments are far from over.

Getting IM funded through to development of an 'early release' does not equal a successful business venture, let alone denote sustainable development in this genre, which of course we all hope for. Do not get me wrong on this point.

Regardless, I do not think a few (or more?) individuals making their consumer opinions known (and hat's off to them, I wish it were integrated into RoF as well…) will make or break IM. This is likely primarily geared to an Eastern European audience, but of course Western support would also be helpful. Time will tell.

"Ilya Muromets" If this sim is successful, then who knows what other historical society will jump on the band wagon.
We could wind up with several different theaters of WW1 that could be combined into one.
Support it or not, but if not you are the one missing out.

Being approached or commissioned by an official body is a pretty prestigious event for the proponents of any creative endeavour. Early release as it may be, the Ilya Muromets as an aircraft represents a titanic effort in any simulation scenario and to have such a project instigated by a state body makes it more than a business venture. The RMHS expressed a desire to have 777 embody a part of Russian history and that accolade, given the faith of the RMHS in 777 Studios, is a result of 777's competence and history of good business practice to my mind.

Since historical depiction seems to be one of the primary aims here I would presume that commercial success is not of the highest priority.

As this is all pure speculation, from a hypothetical point of view (with your business goggles on Bandy), which route do you think would maximize company profits?

Route 1) Add on content to your existing game.

Route 2) Reuse many elements from a previous project and just repackage it as a standalone "New Game".

Looks great. But i dont buy another Game with the same Engine.
Put into RoF as an extra Scenario, so i will give you some money.

Keep it in an extra Game - i will spend my money in an anothner nice game from any other publisher…

Same here; if it were available as a ROF add-on, I would immediately buy it, but I don't want to install and set up a whole new game for what amounts to a (very appealing!) additional aircraft and a map as far as I see. Would be great if such a "cooperation" were possible.

I'm going to download it, if only to support 777. However, I honestly think that the map and bomber should be made available as DLC for Rise of Flight. It's all money in the same pot, after all. 777 can pass the revenue back to the Russian Historical Society, that's their business. ;-)
