You all know our servers are in the USA. Has nothing to do with politics. Keep that stuff out of this forum.

When I know more or Zak knows more we'll post it.

Up time of our servers are well over 99%.

Welcome to the Forums!

Sorry that you picked a bad day to try this out - fortunately these master server hiccups are relatively rare (though not as rare as we would all like), and normally when they happen you can still log in offline and play around/practice with QMB missions/fly PWCG missions and do a variety of things to explore and enjoy the content in RoF even though you can't do everything (e.g., MP and career mode).

Stick with it and I think you'll find it's well worth it, even if you do have to wait a little longer to get started than you had hoped.

Don't know but they need to get it together. it started with a 1 hour server maintenance that's now in its 13th hour

its been even longer than that klarson, its been down for the last 18 hours now ive waited and waited then went to bed to wake up to more waiting and the closest thing to any info about it from a dev is "i dont know what they did in moscow "

I was wondering if anyone in the 'know' would care to let us know what is happening? Even a message like wait another few hours would be good(?)

This is a very good game - but could be spoilt by the lack of support.

777 is having some problems with the master server Red…it happens every now and then. Be patient…all should be well before to long.

since yesterday I can no longer play online. A login is not possible. It always appears the error message # 2 Verification Failed.

The server was acting up for last week, so I guess they shut it down to eliminate the problem and run into more problems :( .

Keep refreshing this page folks, it's faster than try to log in. When it starts showing active servers it'll mean master server is up.

Wait… it shows live servers… can log in and go multiplayer… still no career though.

Go from automated DNS-server address to referential: 8.8.8.8 / alternate: 8.8.4.4
and it is OK.
Was already posted way back when same problems.

Just an fyi. The switching dns servers does not make a differance with this particular issue. Running google dns ans same problem as the rest.

I'm told by the team that all but the Career is now working and the Career should be fixed in due course after some further database work is done. we're investigating the cause and will use this opportunity to look for ways to avoid such issues in the future. These difficult technical periods are always good learning tools for the team, especially newer guys. As I mentioned before, our overall up-time for our system is well over 99% and every day we are up that goes up further. For new users that may seem strange, but it is the truth since we have been live for almost 5 years. When it happens we understand it is annoying and we try to avoid it the best we can.

Hey Jason,
Thanks for the update…and you are so right about the awesome server online performance record that has been around for quite a long time for ROF!! In all the years I've been flying this simulator I can count on one hand the times a server has been down!
Keep up the great work and I have no doubts about the forthcoming fixes and improvements enhancing our ROF experience!
