.

Greetings All,

While working on a brace of D2 Albs for TheHighwayman I remembered that I had built a pair for myself some months ago and had planned on submitting them for community approval. So, without further delay, for your consideration are these personal skins for one of my ROF virtual pilots who hails from the city of Detmold in the old principality of Lippe. A stout young fellow and proud of his home to the point of claiming the Lippische Rose as part of his own livery. I am hopeful that his mounts might be included in the next community skin pack.

And here is the file download: Lippische Rose Albatros D.II personal skins for Louvert

Thanks everyone, and Cheers!

Lou

…if i had to critique, i'd say it could use a bit of weathering/blemishes - it seems a bit crisp & freshly built & painted with great precision. but i guess i'm just a fan of the weathering effect..

hee hee, touché.

HotTom and theMoxy, sometimes I weather them and rub dirt on them and sometimes I don't. Not all WWI kites were grubby and beat up, and they were each new at one point in their service lives, and some flew from 'cleaner' fields than others.

Many thanks everyone for the feedback, it is much appreciated. :S!:

Cheers!

Lou

Voted yes, but I hate Central planes with too much yellow in them (just ask the teammate of mine who decided to fly his red and yellow-skinned DFW past me and my D.III's spandaus)!
