a special mission-set for the Channel Map specifically designed for the Steam version.
Please could someone advise how these missions will be made available to existing channel Map owners? Or are they available already? Thanks.

Will current owners get any updated content free of charge? Or will we have to pay for the extras?
The only extra content will be a set of single-player missions. These missions will eventually also be made available for free to non-Steam users, ie the rest of us.

The toughest part of my job is dealing with incompetent clowns who think they're good at their job.

My idea is to use my steam account and to purchase keys from the RoF homepage.
I got the idea from the Egosoft-Guys so in the end i can use steam and the team will get all the money they deserve.

Will it be possible?

Thanks for sharing! I'm surprised they're ready(?) to release this. I would've thought we'd have the Fall and Winter maps, and a lot of the bugs (ships, friendly planes fighting for the enemy, pilots and squadrons without names, etc.) worked out beforehand. Hope it all goes well …
Edit: It's nice to see they included the best video promo to counteract the Guitar Hero dubstep version.

To make sure I understand, I'll have to play the channel stuff on one account attached to steam and play my other older account separately?

Hi captgeo, you can always run steam in 'off-line mode' and in this way you can still play all your games, including Rise of Flight.I tried this today, no luck, game will not start.
LouieD: unfortunately this seems to be the case. To be sure, I would send an email to rof@777studios.net to see if they can help you.
I just hope if steam drops this game that I have not wasted my money and that there is a plan in place to make sure player's like me do not end up with no account

What bothers me about the Steam version is that you can get every bit of content this game has to offer for only $189.93 USD (much less with a sale), and while I already own the Iron Cross ed. of the game and several planes (as well as a second copy of the game for our server), it would cost me twice as much to purchase the remaining planes, field mods, and weapon mods here through the RoF Store even with a sale going on. Since I don't feel particularly inclined to purchase the game, and many of the planes twice over (and waste my previous investment), I've decided to leave this game behind even though I've often wanted to come back to playing it many times now. It would be nice if your own store reflected the prices you're offering on Steam for many of your longtime supporters, like myself.
