S! All,

This is a fictional skin for JG1_Klaiber_J11, based loosely on historical Jasta 11 markings, specifically Lt. Hans Karl von Linsingen's Pfalz D.IIIa (D.4223/17).

The double red stripe found on the fuselage is an homage to the historical Otto Klaiber, whose Jasta 12 Fokker D.VII may have been marked with two white stripes.

The serial number for this fictitious D.IIIa is D.4233/17, which seems to be historically unknown or unremarkable.

My personal (or alternate) color is off-white, which is painted on the D.IIIa's rudder, as well as on the propeller hub. Off-white is also used in an aft-fuselage tail band, located just forward of the vertical stabilizer. In contrast, the cowling, wheels and struts are painted in Jasta 11 red. The elevator and horizontal stabilizer have two racing stripes which are also in Jasta 11 red.

Finally, my personal symbol is displayed on the top wing of the aircraft. It is Ignatz Mouse, from Krazy Kat. Created in 1913, he predates the First World War, and is thus period appropriate.

Below are 4 images of the aircraft in flight (click to embiggen):
