Thanks to everyone who helped provide information about missing markings and insignia for our in-game squadron emblems. Your help is really appreciated. I decided to re-do all of the in-game squad insignias and give them a uniform look and feel. I had to get creative on some of these, but we can always change them in the future if we really need to. Below are all the emblems for both the flyable and AI squadrons. I did not have time to label them all for you yet. Hope you like.

Edit: I have revised the pics to show which squad has what banner.

LOL. No that was all me. The team has more important stuff to do at the moment. I like to fiddle with little details like that sometimes.

Great job Jason, but you have to hurry up. Tommorow is my birthday and after I take vacations for two weeks, so you have only 3 days left to finish a new patch.

Jason,

Will it be possible to put the new emblems with a name and description of each unit in the users manual?

I know it sounds like lots of work. :D

Jasta 2 - the one to the left is Jasta 1 and they go in order.

Now, the larger question; Are all of these Squads/Jastas included in the upcoming campaign update?

Yes that was also my opinion but in this case it should be changed.

Jasta 2 should be Black/white (the tricolore bl/wht/rd was only used by Paul Bäumer from Jasta 2 on one of his Dr.1)
and Jasta 1 should have horizonal black stripes while Jasta 6 stripes should be vertically.

Read 'The Jasta Pilots' (Grubb Street)… On the chapter Jasta colours, ''Jasta 1, little is known although aircraft had distinctive personal colour schemes on Albatros DIII fighters.
From October 1917 to January 1918 these personal markings were of various black and white designs''

But then again from 'Dan San Abbott'
From my studies of Jasta 1, prior to 8 March 1918, there was no Jasta marking or colors. when Ltn. Armbrecht assummed command of Jasta 1 on 8 March 1918, Ltn. Armbrecht instituted Jasta colors and markings on their Alb.D.Va aircraft of red and light blue striped fuselages, The eight stripes on each side divided the fuselage about the vertical center and horizontal ceter lines. The top left stripe was light blue and continued to the front half of the fin, the top right stripe was red and continued to the front half of the fin. The rear half of the fin and rudder were white.
Red and light blue spinners and wheel covers.
The wings and tailplane were painted light blue on both surfaces. Individual aircraft were identified with a number, red outlined in white on the fuselage aft of the cockpit and white in full chord top left on the upper wing and on center of the right lower wing undersurface. All struts on the left side were red and light blue on the right side.
It apprears the markings were changed when Jasta 1 received their Fok.E.V machines in early August 1918, with only the engine hood painted red.
On 23 August 1918, Ltn. armbrecht was transferred to Idflieg, and Oblt. Bruno von Voight became the Jastaführer. Oblt. von Voight was transferred to Jasta 66 on 3 September 1918, and .Oblt. Kurt von Doering assumed command of Jasta 1. I have assumed that Jasta 1 colors were changed to green noses and wheel colors by Oblt. von Doering at this time. A Fok.D.VII(Alb)5301/18 flown by Vsfw. Belz was so marked with a green ribbon winding around the fuselage and a green ribbon around the tailplane. The green fin was bordered in white. There are 16 aircraft illustrated in color of Jasta 1 aircraft of a total 131 aircraft illustrated in my Volume I DVD covering the early Fok.E.types to Jasta 4.

Jasta 2 by summer of 1917 had a unit marking of white tails on Albatros DIII's. In march 1918 their DrI's had a unit marking of half white, half black tails and elevators.
Fokker DVII's continued the same but it was also seen to have white front engine cowlings on some airraft.

Jasta 6, late summer marking for Albatros DIII and DV's had black and white chordwise stripes on upper and lower tailplane surfaces.
