Yep I need more help on the Belgian stuff,

I need to know if there were specific squadron markings for Belgian squadrons in WWI.

Specifically for these squads.

Escadrille 02
Escadrille 03
Escadrille 04
Escadrille 05
Escadrille 06
Escadrille 07
Escadrille 09
Escadrille 10
Escadrille 11

As you know all of our squads get a little emblem assigned to it in the career mode. We also need to make these for the Belgian squads. Does anyone know if they had such squad insignias like other nations did or were they mainly personal markings? If there was no squad insignia, then maybe there was a famous pilot in the squad with a unique personal marking I can use for that squadron.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Jason

This is totally off topic and I apologise in advance for it, but I have to say that I am super looking forward to this Jason. I'm starting to feel like a kid at Christmas again…

I have been searching around the web, more particulary in belgian (flemish and walloon) sites, but didn't come up with much. Squadron insignia in Belgian airforce regularly evolved from personal markings taken over by the squadron in a later stage.
I'll keep the search up, but since it's short notice, I'm afraid results will come in to late. On monday I can contact the Belgian war museum. I'm sure they like to give a hand, but having to pass an administrative tredmill it will take some time…
Found a few links, that could maybe a little bit helpfull.

With this current focus on Belgian Squadrons, there a possibility of a Hanriot HD.1 in the near future?

Pulsar,

Thanks for the info. I think I have a handle on it, at least as good a handle as possible thanks to JFM above who has done the artwork for that wonderful book on the Belgian Air Service. If you do come across any other info certainly let me know and I'll check it out.

I've a sneaking suspicion that one of two things is behind a non-reply to your post, leeG…either Jason has something up his sleeve relative to your request ( and is keeping it a surprise ) or he didn't answer because he wants to keep things on-topic. :D

Either way, I'm looking forward to this next update. ;)
