This is my first video in Rise of Flight, so be gentle. 8-)

Although one or another scene may be loosely based on historical events, the video is fictional. I had a lot of fun making it and I hope you guys enjoy it.

I love how atmospheric the slow motion makes the video feel. It's so intense, telling a real powerful story.
Awesome video, would love to see more.

I'm really glad you guys liked it!

I was kind of worried about the final product because I had to make the entire video on Quick Mission, for I failed to properly learn how to use the Mission Editor because of the outdated tutorials.

I had to change a lot of what was planned for that reason, I bet the video would've been at least 50% better if I had the knowledge to use the Mission Editor… :(

Fantastic video, thanks for making it!

If you are struggling with the ME dont be afriad to ask questions. The ME is really not that difficult once you get the hang of it - complicated, yes, but not difficult :) What lesson are you stuck on?

Just because I can give multiple orgasms to the furniture just by sitting on it, doesn't mean that I'm not sick of this damn war: the blood, the noise, the endless poetry...

It's been a while since I last tinkered with it, so I don't remember where I was stuck in.

When I get another idea for a video I'll try the ME again and I'll make sure to ask on the forums when I get stuck.

I like the 'be gentile' part … how could anyone be brutal?!

Boy, I think it is one of the best CFS videos I've ever seen. As said the music and frame rate are perfect … but the conveyance of motion and the feel of flight! Wow, thanks, really a stunning piece, really.

Hi warbird, press 'windowskey+H' to make all HUD-elements invisible.

you can also go to the FULL EDIT tab at the bottom. Then if you click on VIDEO you will have a window come up where you can PASTE the video address (good to have it copied first). then just hit ENTER and your done.

The HTML code will work also ….

Great landing with the N.11 at the end.. strange, my landings with that little bebe never look as polished as that, lol!

Believe it or not, that was the first time I had ever flown that plane, in fact, that was the first time I ever landed it. Dead stick landing, a bit rough, but works I guess.

EDIT: Also, the engine was off, it was just spinning on inertia. I like shutting down rotaries on landings to minimize gyroscopic effects.

Excellent video. Well done, one of the best ROF videos I have seen. Please make some more!
How did you get the slowmo effects? What video editor did you use?

I simply recorded with fraps while playing the 'replay' in slow-motion, actually, I recorded everything at 1/4th speed with 15 fps, then on the video editor (Sony Vegas), I sped it up to 1/2 speed, which automatically boosts frames to 30, it's a good way to record videos if your computer can't properly handle good framerates with fraps, although mine could, I prefer to record at 1/4th to have better control of the cameras and scenes, more time to think.
