I'm a keen collector of all of your sim films.
To be honest I didn't like so much your latest CGI movie comparing to the sim ones.

Thanks very much to all, this motivated to make more also RoF short films in the first half of next year - I love also this sim.

Also now, I look forward to the new great aircraft models and update (and of course also new historical skins, so far also excellent job all RoF skin makers). A new RoF channel map also allows a whole new kind of movie creation stories (example WW1 naval + air battles). I think, also Gotha heavy bomber model is better suited for this new map (historical sense). And hope so we see in the near future also many good RoF filmmaker new works etc.

Sorry, my weak english.

I want to say this for novice and also all little experienced a filmmakers. Example if you use Fraps and Sony Vegas, so usual Fraps capture full HD gameplay clips is too heavy staff video edit area as such (Especially in the case where the video clips and movie scenes has several dozens or even hundreds of – Orginal Fraps and gameplay clips eat PC RAM a lot → Video edit area). These gameplay / Fraps capture shots is good first converted (I use this video conversion area ”Loss-less” codec, the video and audio quality does not suffer too much (= Video size less, also this case better video options, example bitrate (example Sony Vegas conversion is not good enough and smart - This case)→ Internet version) – Also Adobe After Effects (new version) software can do good conversions and I think, it's not hard to learn use (After Effects video rendering area), although this varied program is yet another could do).

And when you get video shots (Fraps), so keep video capture frame rate same as you want use also video edit area (and video final version).

Usual machinima and animation filmmakers need also very power PC, ie it is suffi ciently well enough to gameplay, not enough to be no longer a good quality of video and film making - you need little more power. Fraps video capture drop down usual also game frames 20-50%, this machinima area need also fast graphics card.

Clean all the time also your PC (example Junk files), because also this slow down the game and the computer.

I hope these elements helps somebody.

And thanks again to all and also ChiefRedCloud - I know that you were expecting this. ;)

I really enjoyed your video! The CGI characters add a great element to the excellent flying and filming. Its a lot of work to do the animations, but the end result is simply amazing. Please keep it up, I'm looking forward to more of your work!

A simply great video!!!
And if I may ask, what is the meaning of the title?

The 1918 Spring Offensive or Kaiserschlacht (Kaiser's Battle), also known as the Ludendorff Offensive, was a series of German attacks along the Western Front during World War I, beginning on 21 March 1918, which marked the deepest advances by either side since 1914. The Germans had realised that their only remaining chance of victory was to defeat the Allies before the overwhelming human and matériel resources of the United States could be deployed. They also had the temporary advantage in numbers afforded by the nearly 50 divisions freed by the Russian surrender (the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk).

There were four separate German attacks, codenamed Michael, Georgette, Gneisenau and Blücher-Yorck, and launched in that order. Michael was the main attack, which was intended to break through the Allied lines, outflank the British forces which held the front from the Somme River to the English Channel and defeat the British Army. Once this was achieved, it was hoped that the French would seek armistice terms. The other offensives were subordinate to Michael, and were designed to divert Allied forces from the main offensive on the Somme.

However, the strategic goals of the operation were lacking. No clear single objective was established before the start of the offensives and once the operations were underway, the targets of the attacks were constantly changing according to the battlefield (tactical) situation. The Allies, by comparison, concentrated their main forces in the essential areas (the approaches to the Channel Ports and the rail junction of Amiens), while leaving strategically worthless ground, devastated by years of combat, lightly defended.

The Germans also were unable to move up supplies and reinforcements fast enough to maintain their advance. The fast-moving stormtroopers leading the attack could not carry enough food and ammunition to sustain themselves, and all the German offensives petered out, in part through lack of supplies.

By late April 1918, the danger of a German breakthrough had passed. The German Army had suffered heavy casualties and now occupied ground of dubious value which would prove impossible to hold with the fewer manpower reserves now available. In August 1918, the Allies began a counter-offensive, using new artillery techniques and operational methods. The Hundred Days Offensive resulted in the Germans retreating or being driven from all of the ground taken in the Spring Offensive, the collapse of the Hindenburg line and the capitulation of the German Empire that November.
