OK here my take on this map..

Great job! This map has life into it, well thought, Trees dispositions are great , road logic is great, smoothness is great.

This map was made with TLC and it shows.

Call me insane but I'm looking forward more 4
this one than that (already!?) famous Channel
map. It's free and performance wise unbiased.
Great work DiFiS! :S!:
I'm looking fwd for your next project.
Really, you, Patrick A Wilson, and that Prangster
fella(Flying Fury campaign author) deserve some
bigger 777 attention. :) That's how I look at
it, at least…

It's a real beauty DiFiS…I made a go of it last night with a Felixstowe, and all the objects, towns, installations, the castle on the hill, trucks, balloons and that barge on the southern end made for a pleasure to behold. ;)

Wow. This is actually second time. Image
First time you tell me "don't screw with
me!" :o (and I didn't actually :? screw) U
may need some work on your people skills.
I didn't mean anything bad. If you spare
just a moment for it, you came up to the
very same conclusion.
I have done noting to you. Except I gave
you some of my hard earned money. (and…
that was actually quite an adventure since
I don't have any options for online paying)
And… constantly praise this game. Unlike,
that's it, some. Well… Thank you anyway.

Substitute "zip it" with "relax please". That better? We give Difis and other talented users much access to things they need to make cool content for you. Your comments make it sound like we do not. We do not like this impression.

Tvrtko, as far as I can see, 777 works together a LOT with talented modders like DiFiS and others to guide the modding process and help them out, but does so mostly behind the scenes so we dont see much of it. But Jason knows as well as any other what a healthy modding community can do for a sims lifecycle, and RoF does not have a lot of active modders, so you can be sure 777 looks after them :).

Let's get back to the topic on hand - DiFis's map is great and free for everyone including SP and MP.

I made the post a Global Announcement so more people can see it.

DiFis will make tweaks based on user feedback and bug reporting.

And yes, DiFis made this map with the help of others as he mentioned, we only made it available in the system. If he needs help hosting the files I can help with that as well.

Very nice map,but the water should be like the one at Channel Map,not from lake. (I suppose the island is at the sea?)

Looking very good DiFiS, as always.

Question though, would it technically be possible to use what's been learned from making a map like this to create further, more historical maps?

If so, this map is not only a fun product of a talented modder but a giant leap forward in getting content into the game that would otherwise have very little place in terms of possible sales.

We will continue to work with talented people who can master the process of making content such a maps. Maybe someday we will release all information and tools necessary for such projects.
