Hello all,

After a very long discussion between our members (over 20 forum pages!) we decided to perform a total rework of our paint schemes.
Our old skins were based on the pattern developed by our CO, Sander in 2000 in RedBaron3D era. They consisted of light and dark grey patterns on the fuselage and wings. The tail was painted in dark olive, the so-called "Polish Khaki" used in our aviation between the wars. The chessboards were rather big. There was almost no difference between Entente and Central Powers planes except of few differences related to the cammo colors.

The new set of paints is going to introduce significant changes. First of all, the colors will be different between Entente and Central Powers planes. The first will receive a palette close to the RoF terrain. The second is more historical and depicts Polish 3-color cammo used in the early 20's. The naval planes will have a different pattern as well. Brandenburg will, again, get semi-historical cammo based on Naval Squadron (Morski Dywizjon Lotniczy) from the 20's and 30's together with special insignia. I am sure that Felixstowe will get a completly new one, too.

As for the markings, I must say that this brought the biggest discussion. Some of us wanted Polish markings, some mixed and some WW1 ones. Finally Sander decided to use our national markings, but they will be smaller, especially on the Central Powers planes and in this case the a-c shape will be the key to recognise, not the markings themselves which will be seen on close distance.

I present you the British set of our skins made by 1PL-Rahon. He created this cammo pattern from scratch and applied to all the planes. Central Powers planes were painted by me and 1PL-Nebuluz. He will also take care of the French planes (old cammo pattern + colors used on British planes)

First of all, some small movie created by Rahon:

It shows paint schemes of 1.Eskadra Myśliwska (fighter sqn), 2.Eskadra Wywiadowcza (rec/bomb sqn), Eskadra Szkolna (training squadron) and Bristol Fighters of our aerobatic team "Jastrzębie" (The Falcons)

Some examples:

A note for Panthercules:
Panther, we would like to ask you to move this poll to the general section of the Paint Schemes Forum, just like the rest of the big polls with many skins.
All skins are meant to replace the old ones to avoid the v2, v3, v4 mess

We would like to ask you to remove the entries below from the RoF protected mode:

SC_1PL_1Esk_Ld.dds
SC_1PL_2Esk.dds
SD_1PL_2Esk.dds
SE5a_1PL_2Esk.dds

We agreed to remove the single seaters from our bomber squadron setup as well as the Leader Skins

Thank you,

Lucas

That video freeze reminds me of the Pink Floyd album cover, Ummagumma.

Nice pack.

Moved as requested.

Thanks for providing clear instructions regarding how you wanted skins replaced - I will certainly pass them along to 777 when I process and submit these, and hopefully all will go well with the implementation. You should probably check them carefully once they're released, just to make sure everything came out OK.

…and Bristol Fighters of our aerobatic team "Jastrzębie" (The Falcons
The Hawks to be specific - "Jastrząb" is polish for Northern Goshhawk (Accipiter gentilis), a beatyfull bird of prey with eliptical wings and superb flight agility. IMHO the best patronage for an aerobatic team? ;)

You can see some of our first performances here (past 00:02:41)

and here (past 01:02:32):

The program is pretty simple and repetitive, but that's going to change :D

Hey there - I was going to process these but there are an issue I need you to deal with because I just don't have time to fix them all for this large pack and the other 2 you also have up here.

You have submitted your preview files in .dds format instead of .jpg format as required. The devs use some sort of automated batch process to convert the .jpg files to .dds files when they compile the approved skin pack volumes - so, the preview pictures need to be in .jpg format when I process and submit them or else things get screwed up.

So, please change all your preview pictures to the required .jpg format, and just put them in with the other two required files per skin (the .dds and .txt files) instead of putting them in a separate subfolder like you did with these.

Normally I would just fix something like this if there were just a couple of skins involved, but with these 3 large packs I just do not have the time available to do that.

I have extended your poll to give you more time to provide a link to your updated download file. Please do so before your poll closes (or, if it's going to take you more time than that, please edit your first post to extend the poll by a few days to give yourself more time).

Also, please note in your first post when you have updated the download file.

Thanks,

Panther
