Allready one of the most beautiful cities in RoF, several online flights there and the fact that almost everyone who sees it is amazed, made me look up Laon on the maps

And after realizing that it really is an fascinating place and area today, I thought of the great project done here to further improve RoF like the Roucourt thing, I wanted to start a preliminary thread on collecting little bits of info on the city.

Things I´ve found fascinating:

The old tramway connecting lower and uper city (including old city views):

Good idea,
I thought about Laon too, but couldn't find that much map material of that area.
Sadly nothing available herefor that region, which is a great resource.

Here a link for Laon area historical map. This map was produced a little before the tramway (map was drawn around 1880, and railways drawing added around 1895).

If you want to build Laon tramways, then you will need to build it with specific 3D objects with specific textures. and it will be static.

plus, it was not a too big city in ww1, so fleshing it out just a little would be doable and still make it rof-pearl (well, it is allready one, but still…)

Anything that adds a few unique features to the ROF cities would be great. Just the castle the bridge and old tramway would make a difference.
