Congrats to Gladio makes sense because he won the game, not a bunch of spoiled kids on drugs
(seriously, this whole soccer thing should be toned down a notch… or two. Or three)

Maybe mentioned earlier, or you already thought about this, but Jason, why not have some skins made for your aircraft, with '777' on them?

Might attract more attention in the virtual sky than you want though…

I'll also try to be around tomorrow. BTW this reminds me a little of (quote from Red Baron 3D manual) :

Multiplayer game types:

(…)

Get The Baron is basically a game of tag, with the it
character referred to as The Baron. When the game starts,
there is no Baron yet. The first player to shoot down another
plane becomes The Baron and can start accumulating points by
shooting down other planes. A player becomes The Baron and
can start accumulating points by shooting down the existing
Baron. The game can be configured to allow up to eight
Barons, each distinguished by the use of a different, solid color
instead of the plane’s normal camouflage pattern.

(with the obvious exception) :)

Wow, it would sure be great to have this in RoF!
One of the reasons I stopped flying mp was due to boredom (too long of flights before any action, if any, takes place….that's fine for sp, but not much fun at all in mp). Would be great to have a "Red Baron mode"! :D

Took a nap earlier and now just flew two really well coordinated missions. A bomber raid and an airfield scrable. Very nice! Coordination in ROF missions is the best. Will be back in about an hour and fly the rest of the day. Come join us! Will be back about 11:45 AM PST.

The highest number of people I saw on the server (just my personal observation) was 74. Most definitely the highest number I have ever seen. Once in the game, I saw more than 60 on the player count so I suppose some were just watching…. but there was still plenty of empty airspace to stare off into without seeing a machine. It was fun, and a good shot in the arm for Multi-player. There was some lag in the game map page… moving my mouse… but in the game it never appeared to have any lag at all.

Thanks everyone who came out to fly with me today. I sampled Oceanic, Syndicate and New Wings servers for several hours each and all were great fun. #1 way to die is fly alone. Teamwork is critical.

I didn't make it the full 18 hours. I failed to get enough sleep the day before so I was hurting very quickly, but I flew for 14.5 hours out of the 18 I wanted. Great fun and nice to catch up with some of you old timers and geat to meet some of you newer players.

ROF MP has never been better with the latest changes and Field Mods. The extra weight and drag really shows why some of these mods were not adopted, but some are outstanding.

Thanks again to all who took the time to fly with me today! Had a blast.

:S!:

Good to see you online Jason - and yes, it was a great day for RoF multiplayer. The Syndicate 'Gotha' mission was intense (you were there I believe, flying for the Entente?), with Spads lining up behind my Big Hun Gerpoppen-Kontraption-Gerdroppen machine taking turns to perforate me - and feeling the force of my newly-installed twin MGs front and rear. And then I flew Alb IIIs, and got into the most almighty furballs, with Nieuports and Spads everywhere. I was worn out after an hour, so how you managed for so long is beyond me…

Anyway, don't miss the chance to fly online occasionally, even if you have to do it under an alias, to avoid undue attention. The rest of us are doing this for fun, and you should have your share too…

Yeah that was a good mission - definitely one of the best I have had in a long time. It took quite a bit of coordination to get everyone up and into formation to the target, but we managed it alright in the end, and all the bombers came back alive - win! :)

Those DH4 sorties going after the balloon factory were also good fun Jason, but yes, we need escorts next time - we were getting cleaned up going over sausage-side on our own!

Thank you for this, Jason, it was great (Syndicate yesterday).

Haha, I remember you getting lost and putting your plane on the ground to check where you were.
