Sounds great! I'll try to be there.
Hope the server and the TS3 channel you choose will have enough room for all of us. :D

Well- have a good time. But here in Florida we are finally going to get some sun. So it appears to be a choice between you and the sun! oooops- where is that sun screen? In fact I may even treat the kids to Mickey down in Orlando, we get that residents discount( thats gold)

:x I suppose we'll have to line up and take numbers for a chance to shoot him down
See you in the virtual skies Jason! And thanks for the best flight sim ever… :S!:

Jason, have you ever considered streaming this on twitch.tv? Stuff like that is huge advertising once it kicks off, just look at what happened with DayZ. You'll need a good internet connection and streaming software.
Send him a PM, he may not read this post. I think its a great idea!

Is that E.Rickenbecker wallpaper on your screen(s)?

I have not seen that 'hangar' shot in the game.

I am a little confused with the "time" thing,
EG: UTC/GMT=07.00am and London @08.00 I thought the Greenwich meridian took in all of Britain so how can GMT be 07.00 and London an hour later?
I notice this a lot on the internet and I know it's me but I just can't seem to fathom it out TBH,help. :?

Wondering how to use it, though! Would work if spectator mode was enabled…otherwise I'd have to be in the middle of the action the whole time?

Our 2nd, co-op server has spectator view enabled. You can join as spectator and give a running commentary when Jason joins the server! :) Since these are quick missions, there is always a lot of action in a short time-span!

We could do something with the hq server as well.

But in this case, it would be good if a time was planned for this so that we can announce a transmission. Maybe Jason can comment? If he says for example 'starting then I'll fly on 'hq' for two hours' we could announce it as live transmitted event.

It is (in theory at least) summer in London. We are currently on British Summer Time, where the clocks are put forward an hour from GMT. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Summer_Time.

Guys,

I appreciate the ideas, but I'm not looking to make this some big marketing event with streaming and spectating and all that. Or make it necessarily all about finding me. I'm easy to find and easy to shoot down. If you have some time on Sunday just log on to ROF and if you have TeamSpeak jump on and come join the fight. Flying with me isn't really a big deal, I've flown with lots of you guys over the years, but I wanted to have a marathon session to appreciate how cool 1.026 is amongst us. Let's just have some fun here within the community and not make things too complicated.

If there is a way to make a big video streaming thing then ok, we can try that later this summer. I don't want to be bogged down with worrying about this this Sunday.

Again, just come have fun.

Jason

That pic is very old now. That was from E3 2009 just before original release. That was the old hangar screen. ROF was just an infant with hardly any of the cool stuff you have today, but it did work.

We don't want everyone to try and shoot down one guy.
In fact it may be a good idea for Jason to fly under a disguise nickname and only tell to those flying with him on TS… but he won't do that, so it's up to us to use some sportsmanship and treat him just as anyone else.

Jason RoF is indeed cool today but I guess a few older pilots find nistolaga, let's just say, interesting. Any chance in getting a large image of this OLD hanger for those of us who admire it?

….. fly ROF online for 18 straight hours straight (minus bathroom and snack breaks)…..

Pft….. Flaming part timer!!!!!

Seriously though, cool idea Jason. Ican't fly online very often due to my back, but if it permits I'll try and join for a while. I'm sure you wouldn't mind one or two easy targets and I'll be one of them!!
