Hello
I would like to present you a few drawings of mine. They concern also Great War aviation. I get inspiration mainly from old photos hoping no copyrights are broken ;)
I hope you like them although these are my first drawings for the last 20 years…
All A3, offset paper, drawing ink.

Seriously, A3 is a lot of pencil lead my friend, well done.

It is not pencil. It's ink marker 0,3 mm.

Thanks!

I have a feeling some of these are drawn from photos, is this correct?

Very well done. My personal favorite is the Spit pilot.

I also have been contemplating giving aircraft drawing a go. I have been away from drawing almost as long. Good to know you were able to pick right up again.

B-e-a-u-tiful! Thank you for sharing them with us!

Just curious, how long does it take you to do a sketch of that quality, on average?

Oh okay, I stand corrected then. One wing just seemed longer than the other, must have been an optical illusion.

Are all these copies/composites of photoes? I cant help but notice that your drawing is pretty much exactly the same as that photo. Do you draw over, or do it by dead-reckoning?

(not a purist, I draw many things from reference as well)

Different. Sometime I am checkering, sometime drawing over main shapes. Generally I am drawing for about two months, and learning all the time. I draw screenshots, photos, composites. All that seems pretty to me. And not too difficult ;)
