I'm sure these a/c have been requested before, but I wonder what would be the chance of them being developed for RoF?

Both were tough, hard to bring down German close-cooperation types. I think they'd be cool for gameplay.

Heck, The J.1 was never brought down by enemy fire. What a challenge that would be, esp at low altitude. You'd have to (repeadedly) BnZ it to have half a chance of bringing one down.

The CL-IIIa would be a handful as well. It's a pretty cool looking aeroplane to boot.

The Junkers was pretty obscure, I odubt we'll see it. The Hannover's spot is somewhat being taken by the upcoming Halberstadt, so they will probably focus on different types of planes after it (as we can see in the 2012 roadmap!). Great plane though!

Also, sorry to burst your bubble - but some of the most skilled BnZ pilots here won't need too many passes to shoot the pilot right out of his cockpit - armor or not!

Well, you're right about aces being able to take a J.1 out easily. But, everybody else engaging them in a typical twisting combat would find them well neigh impossible to bring down.

I'd still like to see the Junkers produced…it being the first mass-produced all-metal warplane and all. Historically very important.

Build the Mobelwaggen!

You mean the two-seater Junkers J.I right? The J.1 were a prototype monoplane only one built. J.I on the other hand got a production run on 227. I would love to see it in-game though, I imagine it was even sturdier than the breguet. :D

A quick stroll through Wikipedia (not the greatest source, I know) suggests that 227 (as was mentioned above) J.Is were manufactured. Not sure how many of those actually saw service. Just for comparison, 205 Gotha G.Vs were manufactured roughly between the same period of time. An argument could be made that the J.I is no more obscure than the Gotha (a plane we already have!), and it apparently did play an important role in the German Spring offensive in 1917. Don't get your hopes too high, but if you really want it then you could probably lobby for it with some effectiveness.

I'm in favor of any new aircraft, to be honest!

Of course I mean the J.1 (factory designation: J.4).

Definitely a significant aeroplane. Practically indestructable in combat.

I sure would love a J1 (awesome plane!), but seriously guys, we need Rumplers and Aviatiks first!
(they took greater place in WW1)
Ok, that's only my opinion :)

J.1,always liked that plane. And it had it's CL version. It deserves it's place on RoF,would be very different to have a metal plane on it.

An Albatros J.I would probably be a better choice - there were considerably more at the front. They also had some neat weapons fittings:

The Junkers is impressive though.
