Hi Guys,

In DServer dedicated server has an exception and crashes after 1 minute of running missions with AI in them.

To reproduce, start DServer and run with this mission: http://dl.dropbox.co...Verdun v3.0.rar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://dl.dropbox.co...29331868/missio … 20v3.0.rar

Also note that these AI use flares, may either be an issue with the new AI cloud system, or with the flares for AI

The 'about' tab in the game still says '1.022'.

My game crashed when I was exploded in MP.

The smoke showed some graphical artifacts: black squares rather than smoke sprites.

В онлайне на сервере Синдикат у меня появились летающие деревья и ангары. При приближении взгляда пропадают на некоторое время. Периодически все текстуры мерцают. Над линией фронта очень сильно просаживается ФПС.

Getting the 'terrain in the sky' big as well now, mostly floating trees by the looks of it.

So do four of my squadron mates.

I can confirm the trees appearing like fountains across the landscape in multiplayer. Tree graphics are also passing through the aircraft during flight.

EDIT: Add houses to the list of flying objects - I've just had a whole town leap up in the air.

Same here, floating tress all over, also saw entire towns in the air and military camps also.

Is this only in multiplayer? Perhaps we shouldn't have skipped the RC2 fly-in. I certainly didn't see anything like that in single player testing last night. :)

Me and Imp did a lot of multiplayer testing and didnt get those problems, but we were only flying alone or 3 people at the most.
It seems it only happens when many people are on in complex missions.
Tonight on our server (Clash at Cappy mission) it was normal from the beginning - really good FPS and no bugs at all. There werent many people there at that point - maybe 15.
Later on when server filled up (30+ people) we all started to seem floating trees, have bad FPS…

LOL - I didn't realize that Vander put the town of Eureka on the map when he did his map rework a while ago :)

Maybe we need to get some help from the folks at Global Dynamics to help 777 solve this one :lol:

If you exit the game and restart you again have some normal playing.
Latest in the second sortie the bugs reapear though.

When you fire the handgun through the proparc, with the propeller standing still, past the propeller, it still registers a hit.

You also can't shoot through the window in the top wing of the Camel.

This is more of an unintended consquence than a bug, but many hand-placed airfields are now covered by trees. I noticed this on New Wings last night where both of the "dogfight" fields were unusable because of this.

I think this is because many hand-placed airfields are placed on flood plains next to rivers (because these are flat areas). However the new and better-looking tree arrangements now cover many of these airfields with forests. These are not "flying" trees, but substantial trees that block movement.

Maybe what look like dirt roads are actually dry river beds that are flowing in the Spring/Summer but dried up in the Fall? :D

То же самое - летающие деревья при просадке ФПС. Кстати на скринах ФПС не отображается, хотя счетчик был запущен(TSOverlay). Только что на Хелеквинс получил летающие деревья.
На сервере было около 25 чел. На объекты жаловались не все.
Появляются через 10-15 мин., как и описывалось ранее. При подлете к ним - пропадали. Пропадали так же при увменьшении угла обзора (приближении).
Не комильфо… :(

Turning off the Vertical-syncro on my RoF settings made the trick for me about the floating trees. At least for a while, after 20 minutes more less, floating trees and houses and terrain flashing was back dropping my FPS from 60s to 20s.

Also has anyone isolated why the Dserver won't run missions with AI fighters that worked in 1.022 missions like the first post attachment?

Would be grateful if the hotfix fixes the new DServer bug too.

Couple of small things in my latest career mission with Jasta 11 in February 1917. On an offensive patrol, my flight leader made a couple of passes (or more precisely, over-flights) across the enemy balloon without diving or firing at it. On the third pass, he did dive and shoot at it.

Also, on this mission I was Wingman No.3 - the No. 2 Wingman was unable to keep up with us all the way across NML to the target area - thus he missed out on the balloon attack entirely. Eventually he did catch up and did fine remaining in position on the leader all the way back to base.

Finally, after the mission it was reported that the squadron had received reinforcements/replacements, but there was a glitch in the text of the message (some sort of undefined call issue, it looked like):

Otherwise, everything went well - graphics/visuals and FPS were solid - no floating trees or anything weird in that regard (but only lasted about 40 minutes or so).

Verdun Map: The new trees are in the city of verdun now. (In the buildings etc. 8-) ) Didn't check the other maps but this should be looked at.

If you are wounded and Sqd. Leader and come back from hospital you replace the former temporary comander who immediately leaves you Sqd. If you are wounded frequently you can get rid of your whole core sqd. ;)

Today the propeller of my Alb.DIII collided with the tail of an Re8, me coming from 6 o´clock.
The moment my propeller splintered the Re8 vanished, whoop.. just like that. I was so suprised i had to try it again. Same Result
..and whooop: Re8 disappeared. weird bug

Not sure if this is a bug or not guys, but the trees appear different since the patch. Not floating trees for me but my do they look awefull in the new campaign.

This is from the new campaign, doesn't seem to be a problem on other maps.

Basically the backgroung to the trees is extremely dark and the trees appear quite strange. I thought it was my set up until I tried other maps in the QMB.

It's difficult to explain what doesn't quite look right but can certain parameters of a maps textures be altered in a campaign? Or is there something wrong with the textures in this part of the map?

My rigs not the best but until now at least the trees looked ok.

Ran some coop missions last night threw my dedicated server and ran into the same trouble, We actually got in one mission but gave up after that with everyone getting the ROF.exe error as soon as they tried to join.
We're going to try a few things to narrow the problem down like sending everyone the mission ahead of time etc.
Will report back if we have any luck

Well Jason, obviously this needs to be discussed among you as coop missions cannot be played anymore after 1.023, 1.023b. It would probably be better to roll back the game to the last version rather than have multiplayer so broken. (1.023c needed badly! ….please!)
