This is a skin for Rise of flight's nieuport 17. It represents a Nieuport 24 bis of the Cigognes squadron
with overpowered clerget 130 engine boosted to 150 HP. Nungesser used such aircraft.
For better cooling the casserole has been opened.

Small Youtube presentation here:

How is this different than the Esc 3 skin we already have for the N17? Not voting yet.

I should have mentioned that the painting of the aircraft is the exact same than default esc3. As far as i know there wasn't any of these particular aircraft in other squadrons than Les cigognes. The difference is in the casserole as you may have noticed.

I put it in fictional because the model aircraft in the picture is not a N17, otherwise this skin is semi-historical. It's not a personal painting

I'm not sure whether it will be approved regardless of votes with the alpha layer modification anyway?

Why is it white?

Standard paintscheme i didn't alter the color. Plus, aren't Nieuports generally white?

The alpha layer cannot be modified to be in mods off mode?

"For better cooling the casserole has been opened."

In english thats quite amusing! Casserole, in the UK at least, is a generic name for a baked food thingy.

I presume you mean 'cowling' which is what we would call the engine surround.

BTW this is not meant to be rude or to correct you. Leave it as is, its quite amusing!

ALso, nice use of the Alpha layer.

I didn't think so. With the exception of things like the D.VII and SPAD engine covers.

Someone else will know better than me though.

Neat. Americans are eccentrics (no offense is intended by this btw.) They use different spellings, don't recognise the Queen etc. etc.

 My first goal was to put it available to download anyways for those who like, the Poll thingie looked to be a standard compulsory procedure. If it is rejected later for the reason you gave, the skin is still available in "Mods on" for those who like. :S!:

Hey there - I was trying to process this one but it won't let me download the file (says I have to be registered). I don't have time to do that just to download a file - too many others to get processed here in the next few days. Please upload this somewhere else like MediaFire and post here when you have updated the first post with the updated download link.

I've extended your poll for a while longer so you can upload this somewhere that I can get to it without registering, so I can process and submit it to 777. Please post here and/or PM me when you have done so.

Cheers,

Panther

This one has languished for quite a while, so I'm going to lock it up. If you want to resurrect it with a working download link, feel free to PM me and I'll open it back up.
