Attention Pilots!

Finally, we are done with the 1.021b. Some hard and fast work for us. We hope that we didn't make you wait too long before we could find a fix for the ATI stutter issues in 1.021.
However, we hope that not only will you be interested in the stutter fix, but also some of the other fixes we are including. We hope that 1.021b will make you eager to get back into the ROF cockpit again!

We want to thank all of the community volunteers who helped us to test the stutter issue with the test build - thank you so much guys! Your work was a big help!


Features list version 1.021b

GENERAL FEATURES:
1. S.E.5a Flightmodel fine tuning, glass engine issue resolved
2. Fokker D.VII/D.VIIF ailerons deflection is now symmetric (+23/-23)

Change list of version 1.021b

GENERAL CHANGES:
1. ATI GPU stuttering issue resolved
2. FPS increase/decrease bug after flew thru overcast fixed
3. COOP now should work properly, "ready" bug fixed
4. Mission Map Icons coalition options works now correctly

CAREER CHANGES:
5. World news killboard killed aces now marked KIA
6. Skins preview for mission assigned planes now shown
7. New career creation filters - "Filter by squadron" and "Filter by airplane" options now marked by additional icons over airfields icons on the career creation map.


GUI CHANGES:
8. "Finish Mission" (single player) option when therer is no player plane replaced by "Finish Spectate"
9. Enemy airplanes debrees icons now should not be displayed on mission map
10. GUI greyed out overlay when GUI states changing added
11. Table headers now icons instead of text in cooperative postmission stats menu
12. Flag zone marker now dissapears after player leaves zone
13. Player position marker now displayed on map when player landed even if navigation markers option is turned off
14. No scrollbar in multiplayer chat issue resolved
15. Bombsight levers bug, when moved thru maximum limits, fixed

OTHER CHANGES:
16. Player kicked from multiplayer server related to fieldmods isssue resolved
17. Turret MG now stops fire when occuped by player after AI.


Finally, we have opened our own torrent tracker for the Rise of Flight version 1.021 installer. You can now download this installer using torrent. We and the whole Rise of Flight community will be most grateful to you if you become a seeder for this torrent.

Мы закончили работу над версией 1.021b. Это был сложный этап так как нам приходилось действовать очень быстро. Надеемся что это было достаточно быстро и что мы смогли найти компромисс и убрать дергание кадра на чипсетах ATI (AMD).
Но в лучших наших традициях эти исправления проблем стали не единственной целью, и мы добавили еще новых элементов ради которых стоит вернуться в кабину самолета.
Большое спасибо всем кто оперативно помогал нам в поиске проблем, ваши усилия помогли нам сделать все за минимально возможный срок, спасибо, без вас это было бы просто невозможно!


Список нововведений версии 1.021b

ОБЩИЕ НОВОВВЕДЕНИЯ:
1. S.E.5a уточнена модель полета, исправлены проблемы с перераскруткой двигателя
2. Fokker D.VII/D.VIIF отклонение элеренов сделано симметричным (+23/-23)

Список изменений в версии 1.021b

ОБЩИЕ ИЗМЕНЕНИЯ:
1. Исправлены "Микрозамирания" графики на видеокартах ATI
2. Исправлено изменеие производительности графики (FPS) при полете над/под сплошной облачностью
3. Кооперативный режим игры теперь работает корректно
4. Опции выставления коалиций на иконках миссии (Map Icons) теперь работают корректно

ИЗМЕНЕНИЯ В КАРЬЕРЕ:
5. Погибший Ас будет отмечен в газетных новостях как KIA
6. Теперь отображаются превью окрасок самолетов учавствующих в миссии
7. Фильтры для карьеры "Фильтр по самолету" и "Фильтр по эскадрильям" теперь имеют дополнительные иконки (метки) на карте выбора начала карьеры над соответствующими аэродромами

ИЗМЕНЕНИЯ В ГРАФИЧЕСКОМ ИНТЕРФЕЙСЕ:
8. "Завершить миссию" (одиночная игра) в случае отсутствия самолета игрока заменена на "Завершить наблюдение"
9. Иконки обломков самолетов теперь не должны отображаться на карте миссии
10. Добавлен эффект затемнения при смене состояния/переходе из разделов графического интерфейса
11. Название ячеек в таблице статискики кооперативной миссии после её завершения заменены на условные обозначения (иконки)
12. Знак флага теперь корректно исчезает если игрок покинул активную зону флага
13. Иконка собственного самолета теперь отображается если игрок совершил посадку даже если в опциях отключено отображение навигационных иконок
14. Исправлено отсутствие полосы прокрутки в чате
15. Исправленя ошибка возникающаа в бомбовом прицеле при резком перемещении ползунков и кремальер

ДРУГИЕ ИЗМЕНЕНИЯ:
16. Исправлена ошибка которая вызывала удаление игрока с сервера (кик) связанная с наличием или отсутствием у него полевых модификаций для самолета
17. Исправлена ошибка приводившая к безостановочной стрельбе в случае если игрок занял позицию в турели после ИИ


Мы открыли наш собственный трекер для раздачи инсталлятора "Войны в Небе - 1917 версия 1.021b" и теперь вы можете загрузить этот инсталлятор используя данный торрент.

I think the fix for the no-field mods kick is very welcome to many as well. Very happy it has been resolved!

And as for the SE5a and D.VII- damn, I acn't wait to get home and try them!

This is a turning point for ROF community and development…first FM fixes at last! Now waiting for N17 (roll rate, etc.), Pup (climb speed), N28 (tail drag? at takeof), Albies (speed), and other FM fixes…now, as promised, I will buy field mods I didnt bought earlier to show my support so the Andrey can continue in his FM tuning crusade.

Totaly new experience…….its like diving a IL2 Fw190 (almost) :)


and the Fokkers, nice and gentle behaviour now in the turn.

you see…Se5a had got a stabiliser which could be positioned to a different angles during the flight (the same feature was at the Tripe)…so Andrey have said that this "trimmer" thing (don't know this term in English) will come soon…God knows maybe not only for the Se but also for the Tripe.

But there is autolevel in game, so, trimm is not my first need -

I just flew the NEW fixed SE5a, diving to the ground. Sent a chill down my spine and a big grin to my face :D

Thankyou team.

Also a big thing for the bomber/recon is that the fix for the gun to stop firing when switching seats. I have killed my pilot (me) several times switching like this. Great job.

Thank you 777 for this update! Although I was not one of the ATI users that suffered from the stutters problem, the FM fixes for the SE5a and Fokker D.VII are enough to make this a fantastic patch. A great update for a great sim!

Perfect timing! I just started an SE5a career yesterday! Today, in my SE career, I successfully shot down a DFW making slashing high-speed diving attacks at full throttle with no engine failure and not a shot on my plane!
Looking forward to the Harry Tate, too! I will undoubtedly buy it, though I'm not very optimistic about going into a combat situation with it–but it will make a great target, maybe for an early Halberstadt?

I have watied for first FM fixes very long time. Remebmer as we were speaking about FM long time ago?

I hope next FM fixes will coming soon :)

With much more realistic flight model and performacne of planes ROF will be the best flight combat sim i have played :)

Excellent news. Hopefully no more crashes (non-aircraft related) now. Will give the old Bentley-of-the-skies (my SE5) a right good thrashing today.
RE-8 pre-ordered. Now we just need the Rumpler for the Central Powers :x .
