Definitely one of the best I've ever seen. Personally I would have enjoyed it slightly more with different music but that's only because I am currently on a kick against overly dramatic choral sampling over game videos. I prefer a little more irony. My wife on the other hand will tell you that my taste in music sucks. (And she's probably right)

VERY well done …… Thanks so much for your presentation and for sharing …… indeed Bravo

Suggestion ……. Take opening title shot of the thrid and final segment and move to end with a credits list with music …. A slow scroll with possible stills of anyones plane who might have helped you with this project. Also music drdits might be good also.

What is the music incidently? Very nice choice ….

The first two were okay but the third one was superb!

There were some really inspired shots in it which set it apart from the other two, nice work rOEN.

The last minute and a half of the third episode is breath taking. My girlfriend (who cannot tell a biplane from a Me262) said it is very emotional and it barely seems a footage from a videogame. I just showed her your work and afterward the trailer of Lucasfilm's Red Tails and she said: "wow, no contest".

Actually, your work is deep and masterfully crafted. The montage is almost perfect, photography as well.
When, at the end of the third episode, you see that D7 in flames (in that gorgeous clouds background) losing its wing and falling down faster and faster you can really feel a life passing away. When the rubber Bf109 of Red Tails brings down a whole Flying Fortress with all its crew you hardly feel something.

Very smooth, very professional and (American RoF players please do not blame me :) very European.

You should submit it to those Machinima contests. You stand more than a chance to win something.

My appreciations,

Karl

Amazing! Out of all the air combat videos I've seen, I think this trilogy has to be the best. These really kept my attention throughout. The build up to the action, the action itself, the camera angles, the music all fitted together so perfectly. That is just mind blowing work.

Congratulations! You should be rightly proud of your work :S!:

Karl_Conga's remarks are spot on.

What's even better, it perfectly portrays how I experience online flying on a Sunday night, when I do my best to stay alive and so tension rises. It also will baffle anyone who thinks WW1 flightsims are slow and boring!!!

This is the first class of presentation….
So well directed ! Your work with camera
is exceptional. The rhythm, the internal
logic of scenes, the density of action…
All firmly led toward crescendo. Bravo !

These films really highlight the power of this sim. Great work to both you and 777.

If only the crew and animations were a little better, it would look life-like. (Not a complaint, simply saying that the planes and environment are THAT good)

I agree with Vander, how can anyone watch this and think "slow and boring". More like intimate and engaging.

Total agreement Vander. rOEN was kind enough to let us link to these on the New Wings website. This is the best promotional material for Rise of Flight you could hope for. We're certain rOEN will have more fans all the time.
