SPAD 7.c1 of 19.Eskadra Myśliwska

This particular SPAD was purchased in 1919 and used at first as a training plane of 15th Fighter Squadron. Once the 15.EM was equipped with Fokker D.VII's the S.7's were located in Warsaw. Although in very bad condition, they were given to the newly created 19th Fighter Squadron and sent to the front to support 14th Recon Squadron located on the lituania-belarussian front.
The 19.EM appeared on the front at the beginning of May 1920 and soon was involved in dogfights with the Soviet AF which was also flying SPAD 7's. That was actually the first time when the SPAD 7's fought against the SPAD 7's. The plane was flown by W/O Guttmejer and had Polish number of 15.2 and chessboards with roundels. Also, there were original French squadron insignia painted on the fuselage.
Positive and negative comments are welcomed!
