Hi everyone, thought I'd have a crack at making my own skin for the Sopwith Camel

Large Picture:
Attached File  larger.jpg   651.03KB   272 downloads

Smaller Picture/thumb:
Attached File  SC_Burlaff.jpg   39.33KB   272 downloads

Large picture - Front:
Attached File  Larger front.jpg   771.62KB   272 downloads

Zip file of: skin dds file + description + smaller image/thumb:
http://www.mediafire...57rdi75iy2izd99" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mediafire...57rdi75iy2izd99

I apologise if I've done anything wrong, as I've never posted a skin poll before (or a post on this forum before for that matter…) so do point out anything I've done wrong.

Thanks!

(Edited due to attached pictures not working)
(Edited again:
-Made corrections to the .txt document
-Altered the skin so the B on the upper wing is the same colour as the white on the wing stripes
-Altered the white behind the cowel to remove pinkish colour/ match cowel white
-Changed the thumb in the .zip file to match the updated skin
-Changed the pictures above to match the updated skin)
(Edited yet again: added checkers to Cowling and updated everything accordingly)

Well… looking at the .dds, it looks good. Please post an in-game screenshot right here in your original post. EDIT: Sorry, it just failed to load for me at the beginning.

//ENG: “graphics\Skins\SopCamel\Burlaff's Camel.dds” "xxxxxxxx" “z Aircraft of burlaff" "Fictional skin for use by burlaff"
Actually… the file name is SC_Burlaff.dds, but in your .txt file your have written "Burlaff's Camel.dds".
You need to change this to the actual name of your .dds file.

Nice job for a beginner's entry!

EDIT:
I personally would try to match the "B" on the wing to the slightly darker white of the stripes. This way it looks more balanced and like it's been done using the same pot of white paint.

Thanks for pointing that out. I've made the corrections and changed the original post accordingly.
