Cant seem to find My rise of flight folder….. Oh no…… Ill just reinstall the disk and/or do recovery if it fails :D

Just look at the properties of your ROF shortcut to see what folder it points to. Easy.

An update from 1.013 on the disk to 1.019 will be a big download. Better to back up 1.018.

Jason
Got it, thanks.

Gonna be at least a couple hundred MBs maybe more. I need to get a final count.

Jason
Ah, ok. I was worried it was going to be in the gigabyte range :0o: (darn internet caps, grr) Thank you for answering.

Now I will go ahead with Forgotten Hope 2 install (in total about 5 gigs :o of downloads), something to do over the weekend while waiting for 1.019. I really like the relatively small update sizes for ROF, a couple hundred megabytes is not too bad for such an epic patch.

Thinking the same thing. I thought it would be much BIGGER.

If it's that small I don't think I'll backup. In fact, I only have one HDD and no external usb thumb/hdd's so I can't lol !

Anyway what could ever go wrong :D :?

Right click then properties on the rise of flight shortcut and you'll find the path in there.

As for backups, I backup every update and clear the tracks out. Then I can still watch my old tracks on the old versions
;)
Ive lost some great tracks in the past…..now I don't update till Im sure I have the ones I want saved as wmf. Good point ! :S!:

But remember always login offline or it locks you out of old versions!! I did this once, anyone know how to reverse the lockout?
The message says something like you need to update

New folder on my C drive, copy and pasted 18 GB :o
wow havent looked at that file in awhile, pretty good sized.

this type of thing is what filled up my old , smaller HDD with il2.
but … my new HD is plenty big enough ,
I could hold a dozen ROF's in it and still have lots of room. muhahahaha !

Taipan - are you talking about your copys of ROF !

Yeah, copies. If you open an old copy you have to login offline. If you login offline it breaks permanently ad says yo need to update.
I wonder if there's a flag we can change to still open old versions if it gets locked like this?

Tried to back up my 6.6 gig rof 1.018 to my external drive that has 366 gig of space open . I am unable to copy the folder to the external drive. I get a cannot copy file box, tried to turn off the read ony in properties but it just turns back on after unchecking and exiting.
