Hi, I'm gonna try again to make a skin poll, with some of my older skins and some more recent ones. Hopefully I did it right this time… :? But some of these are my own personal skins Like the Jerry Rigger, Moving Target, and my Camel. Others were made for fun or for others like the camel I made for Moggy, and the spad 15 for Fifi. And the speedy lookin' Neieuport I made for racing :) and more. Hope you enjoy them and hopefully I didn't screw up this time :D

I couldn't fit ALL the skins in the pack into the post, but this is the gist of them…

And the Jerry Rigger has been weathered and desaturated, I couldn't find a picture of the new version on the side with the "nose art"

Not a very good vote ratio right now.. It all depends on who makes them I guess, the more popular you are, the more votes you get. And thats why Arnold is our governator.

FYI, I voted "yes". One day I'll get around to flying online, and it would be a shame not to see folks flying in their personal colours when I do!

BTW, Lib - don't be so negative about yourself so much. I haven't read every single post in this forum made by every single person, but a fair few that I've seen of yours you really do seem to have a habit of bashing yourself in the balls almost straight away.
We're all human here (I think!), we all have our faults without exception, but one thing I've learnt over the years is that you won't do yourself any favours by verbally shooting yourself down in flames all the time ;)
You knock out some decent work on the skins and your enthusiasm for RoF is without doubt there, so stop assuming you're a lesser man than the next I.P. address logged into these forums.
End of the day, poll counts and post replies don't really mean anything. It's what's inside your heart, mind and how you treat your fellow man in the real world that's important.

Take it easy & happy flying
Rob

To be honest with you that last part was kindof cheesy, but yes I don't give myself credit as some people assume I should get. I'm a very critical person not only of myself but of just about everything. No matter how many times people tell me I did a good job, I will never believe them, and I hardly ever feel like I did a good job on something.

I wrote a whole big paragraph on how suckish my life is, but nobody wants to read something like that. I try to stay on the bright side, but sometimes it's hard to. Along with ROF I play bf1942, and while playing it earlier to-day I was accused of being too optimistic. But I don't think thats the case most of the time. I'm even more depressed right now because my Jeep; the one thing that made me happy, that made me feel invincible, has been down with a cracked block for months now, and I don't have the money to fix it.

I appreciate the vote, and the attempt to cheer me up.

Hey Lib - thanks for being a trailblazer on this. Technically, you've posted this incorrectly, in the wrong forum (under the prior "rules", you should have posted a separate poll thread in the appropriate plane type forum for each separate type of plane in your pack).

HOWEVER, I've checked with the devs and we're going to change things up a bit so that these types of multi-plane pack threads will be OK here, for packs like this where one skin author has done a series of personal/fictional skins for multiple plane types. I wish I'd thought of this approach before doing all my personal skins - would have saved making a bunch of separate poll posts.

We'll still keep the individual plane type sub-forums in place, and they should still be used for squadron submissions (where there are a bunch of skins for the squad members for each plane type), as well as for submitters who just do an occasional/single skin for a single plane type. But, now (thanks to you :) ), if someone does their personal/fictional skin across multiple plane types, they can post them all here in one single poll thread just as you have done.

Nice work!

Cool, It took a lot of reading your message repeatedly and correcting what I thought you meant :D I'm not sure if it's all there but It sounds like it's good other than the fact I put it in the wrong forum. :)

Thanks for your help!

No problem - sorry my message was a little confusing. Before, there wasn't really any one forum where you should have posted this particular poll - polls were supposed to be be posted only in the individual plane type subforums, and each poll/thread was supposed to be limited to a single type of plane. Thus, under the old rules, you should have busted up this one poll into several different poll/threads in several different subforums.

NOW, however, it's OK to do what you did, for personal/fictional skins - i.e., to post a single poll/thread here in this forum which covers personal/fictional skins for multiple different types of planes in the same poll/thread. So, yes, it's good now.

Unfortunately, I had to vote no.

They are great skins! Don't get me wrong….but as a pack, NO.

Simply because that red and white Noop (and maybe the 400) - They should be left as mods-on skins. Take that out of the pack and you have a yes vote from me.

Frankly, I'd recommend not polling "packs". I hate to have to vote no just because of 1 skin…

Hmm, Naked Squirrel and Jay Dolan are the same person?! Jay goes by Air Biscuit, but I think that NS and JD are different people…if not, this is a serious, "Luke, I am your father," moment!
