Really cool 8-)
Your white is maybe a bit too shiny…but it could be the bloom effect…

I seem to get that with all planes … I find myself really having to cut down on the gamma …. kinda bothers me …

Any suggestions are appreciated …it's like a over-exposed nightmare on real sunny daze … LOL

here is a snapshot of the alternate version …

Nice skin, but the white is indeed very intense.
And you should probably change the text in "Geflügelter Tod von oben". :)

Hummm … guess that "FREE" English to German translator lead me astray ….

I am kinda baffled with the High intensity brightness … I use Panit Shop Pro … so maybe there is an alpha layer thats not present? I have PSP 9.0 … and the templates are in photoshop format … Just guessing … I am still kind of a novice…

Thanks for the german … I'll update

Are you using pure white on those areas?
Try to use gray tones, it will still look white in game, but it won't be as shiny.

Stock insignia from template … pure white only on pen sriping ,but that is covered over my several shadow and detail layers … also found in original texture template with the same settings …

I can experiment some, but wonder if it could be artifacts of my Nvidia GTX8800 … read somewhere that this could be a 3d settings problem/driver issue … but I hate fiddling around with it as other games look quite well … and I am happy with those sims … so I may have to find another "trick" … yuk … Now I remember why I quit skinning … LOL

As said above, try to use very light grey instead of white…or use the brightness layer panel in photoshop to tune down only the white parts.
Hope this help ;)

For a better result, try to

-repaint the white parts with light grey as Fifi suggested
-decrease the opacity of the following layers: shadows, levels, and there's another one called overlay IIRC. These look very stupid in the stock template IMO. :?

its quite …. colorful:)
On an allied plane using "Winged death from above" would be more "appropriate" - dont ou think. Otherwise nice!

Thanks for the ideas … I think I have the problem solved …. I had turned off a couple of the layers and forgot to re-enable them before saving to a dds … made a big difference … plus I removed the verbage on the side …

I will repack and upload later … I started Playing around with a P-6E Snow owl color scheme on a se5 … I may post it at a later date … But I have a feeling some will not like the Post war color schemes of the 20's and 30's ….

I have a couple of these in my garage …. (I fly RC Planes as well - a bit better than I do this sim :D ) …

Not no more … I removed them while I was in the process of "de-intensifying" the brightness …

I will be uploading the file updates a bit later tonight ….

Here is the updated skin

I think they look better now that they're not so INTENSE in the brightness …

Also removed the "Writing" off the wing and fuse …

Guess I will just fly with mods on and forget wasting time attempting to share my skins.

I'll stick with flying my "Biggies"
